I'd call it a classic. Straight forward story, simple and fun game mechanics, equally enjoyable minigames (imo at least). A game reminiscent of a time were games were simple and straight forward.
To be fair when I started playing the game I was overhyped and expected a thought provoking story with a main protagonist with extraordinary personality etc. The game isn't anything like that, the story is simple, it serves the progression of the story, the characters are equally simple but none of them are boring or pointless, they are just fun and tasteful but again nothing extreme.
