One of My Most Cherished Games -
Easily the most calming and visually appealing point & click puzzler I have ever played. The art style is reminiscent of children's books I had when I was younger, and the dreary aesthetic with distant (almost hopeful) lighting gives it such a particular feeling. Although the puzzles do not change, the nostalgic feel of the game and world brings me to re-download it annually and play it with a cup of my favorite tea in-hand as holiday tradition. The variety of puzzles makes your initial play-through very entertaining, and the story element is small but a nice treat once you come to it. My only wish is that some add-on or DLC could expand the world from that external lift and I could see more of the Machinarium world!
