"The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog" is very enjoyable and even if played purely as a mystery doesn't feel cheap. It follows the standard rules of mystery in that enough information is given you can come to logical conclusions, and while it's definitely more fun if you have a history with the series Tails ends up giving you enough context you don't feel left out if you don't.

The fact you can modify the "Think" minigame for whatever difficulty level you choose is a nice inclusion also as having played it with 0 changes I can safely say some people will find it trying to nab enough rings while also time movement just right.

I would recommend it, as for the price of free it goes above and beyond to the point it highlights how charming the Sonic cast really is when they're given the opportunity.

Charming game with a pretty intuitive and satisfying puzzle system. It's not an overly long playtime, and you can skip the puzzles if you're really just in it for the visuals, but honestly I'd recommend at least bashing your head against them for a while prior to that. I think there being a larger variety of music while going through a stage would help keep things fresh longer, but hey not like it ruins it.

For a free game the only thing at stake is time, and considering it's a well made fun experience without a large time commitment, I highly recommend it. Plus really the silly achievements up for grabs mean you're rewarded for getting really into it, but otherwise you could probably zoom through this puppy.

Well suited to lighter play sessions, Desktop Dungeons is a fun game with plenty of variety in playstyles to keep it from getting stale. While the "story" isn't exactly a driving force of literature, it provides plenty of opportunities to ease players into options as they unlock them and become familiar with the overall mechanics of the game. These range from challenges with guaranteed layouts, dungeons more suited to specific classes, or even just bonus quests that require clearing a dungeon with every class of a theme. As a whole, all these mechanics allow people to get as invested in the game as they like. You can try and use every possible avenue to turn a difficult run into a victory, or you can stack the odds towards yourself with preparations and hoping for a strong start.

I can safely say while not for everyone, Desktop Dungeons is a great pick for those who like short snappy play sessions with careful decision making. It's good at what it doe, so as long as you understand that you'll have a great time.

I honestly wish I liked Tembo more. It's not a bad game per se, and it has aspects I like.
The issue as many reviews have already addressed is it doesn't know what kind of game it honestly wants to be.

By design, Tembo feels fun when just smashing things, going fast, and racking up silly combos.
It's satisfying to watch enemies get scattered, have civilians jump on your back, and crush the terrain.
This is where the game succeeds.

Throughout the game however, it keeps going against it's own enjoyable parts in a frustrating manner.
You'll have tight jumps that punish you for trying to use the more interesting tools in your kit.
You'll have rooms swarming with enemies where dashing equals death.
I could go on, but essentially the pace and themes of the game get sidetracked at a variety of points.

My verdict is it's an okay buy on a deep sale, but full price it's hit and miss to say the least.

The game works for what it is, which is a cheap rogue-like. My main issue with it however is that it simply isn't all that engaging or interesting. There are few if any meaningful decisions in the game, dying feels inconsequential at best, and gameplay-wise you walk around. Once in a while you'll spam buttons when in doubt. It's fine to play once or twice, there are just much better options.

This game is the stuff. It's amazing once you figure out the simple controls, and it's a maelstrom of bullets combined with crazy techno music. Wave after wave, it never gets boring. I only bought it because it was cheap, but I was wrong. This game is amazing in so many ways. The design flows really well, the enemies aren't unfair, but they keep you busy, and the upgrades are pretty snazzy both in gameplay and musical aspects. When asking why you should play Savant-Ascent, unless you really hate this kind of game, there isn't a reason not to get this. Affordable, not too big of a file, and too much fun. I'm considering gifting this to people for the Holidays! Considering the awesome protagonist, I'm curious to see if they ever make anything else with out caped sir, but until then I'll jam out with this crazy game.
