The combat is excellent and with the many different weapon types, your play style can shift mattering on which weapon you're using. Exploration is one of the best parts of the game, you're going to need to explore your world no matter what, whether the exploration is on the surface or down below. Its best to go into this game blind but have the wiki on your side if you are curious about something.
