Plus:

- It's Harry Potter

- Stunning graphics, but unfortunately to avoid overheating/ obtainable FPS, I had my RTX2060 SUPER all at medium settings, other than those obvious FPS killer settings. Here are 2 videos that I used to obtain affordable FPS for this graphic intensive game if you ever have a more than 5 years old GPU card:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgrMSn125PY

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0mWVLhy954&t=354s

- To 100% achievement like I did over here, it's really not too bad, seriously. They do not have a 'Complete game with X difficulty'. It's really, doable. They do have things to collect, but its doable with plenty of guides online.

- Side mission or main mission are more fun? To me, it's both. Character arcs and storyline + plot, it's really good.

- Combat system, in my opinion, could be improved, parry system relies on the slow mo timer sorts and it's like super easy, like way too easy. You can also consider that the combat system is somewhat a hack and slash type of puddle.

- Character power: now, many would argue, there's the easy path and there's the other path. Easy path would be using those dark arts powers while the other path involve using other skills. To me, character power on this game depends on how you wanna approach it, whether via using plants to fight / using complete stealth / potions. There's no right or wrong, I wanna 100% the game so using dark arts is the quickest solution to 1 tap kill enemies. However, if you would wanna try say, a combination of potion + plants, go ahead and try, no harm no foul. Again, there's also the element of the 'Ancient magic power', which is also OP in my opinion, but necessary, it's not as super OP as Avra Kadavra and it relies on your attacks on enemies and you have to collect the 'magic power'.

- Story is pretty linear, which I'm neutral towards. Puzzles in the game are also quite fun and challenging

Minus:

- No nudity

- Aside from the obvious GPU intensive answer, there's also the element of the storage. Well, typically for single player mode games, my RTX2060 SUPER + WD Black 2TB wouldn't struggle, but for this case this game eats up my hard disk. I honestly don't think WD Black is that sucks, but this game made it look like a kid. The saving time, loading time, cloud syncing time, is like total crap when you are using a hard disk instead of SSD to play this game. I honestly think that my PC suffered from BIOS/ startup issues just because I restarted my PC during when the game is downloading/ patching/ syncing

- To grind for the achievement for those map collectibles are pretty boring, but there's no other choice, it's considerably easier to 100% this game compared to others that I have played in the past.

- Bugs and crashes: yes I do sometimes encounter this and I do not think it has anything to do with my GPU / heating/ CPU, it could be the storage issues but I would think that this game do suffer from some optimization if you are coming from older cards

- They did not have the time nor budget to add in a Quidditch game

- As said above, this game needs SSD, don't know why but it needs it else suffer stuttering. Even I could run GTA 5 from HDD with minimal stutter during loadings

- You have a skill called 'Revelio' which essentially is a 'Detective mode' and in my opinion, is necessary for the game, but it's mundane. I honestly wished they could have replaced or add on some other functions to act as a proxy for this Detective mode skill.

What's fun:

- Wingardium Leviosa
- Avra Kadavra
- Confringo
- Incendio
- Crucio
- Accio

CPU/ GPU Specs:

- Intel® Core™ i9-9900 Processor
- Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER

Buy/ Not buy ?:

- If it's on sale, buy if you have a decent PC build, else avoid
- Buy if you are into Harry Potter and its lore

Not gonna go in depth about the pros and cons because this video basically summarizes it:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyO8ngSx9Eg

CONCLUSION

Enjoyed playing this game but I couldn't be playing this game much longer, gives me stomach cramps and headaches. Would not recommend this game simply because putting achievement aside, the overall formula for this game relies on go to a place -> collect a few things -> go to the next place -> rinse and repeat. Combat system is too simplistic and the sandbox environment is perhaps too claustrophobic for me. Two things I would rather say are the graphics are pretty rad and the puzzles though challenging and nice, would sometimes be repetitive. FYI, below PC Specs enables you to play at 1440p, high settings, around 80-100fps, no latency or any lag felt.

CPU/ GPU Specs:

- Intel® Core™ i9-9900 Processor
- Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER

Plus:

- Childhood
- First ever HD based GTA world in GTA series
- Physics are realistic
- Best DLC in GTA series, none of that GTA V money grabbing booby honking stuff
- Plenty of guides around the Internet if you are stuck
- Headshots are realistic
- Cool radio stations if you are into it
- You could play this game with your work laptop, doesn't need much high graphics

Minus:

- Stupidly overdone achievement to grind for 100%, 200 pigeons, 50 stunt jumps for base version, that's enough said
- Graphics are of 2010s, GTA V much better and realistic
- TBOGT > TLAD. TLAD as DLC is just too boring, guns in TBOGT are also quite OP
- When I said 2010s game, this would mean bugs and glitches, cutscenes where you are required to either set your CPU affinity to just 1 and/ or to try to plan this game at 1080P 60Hz
- Very boring side missions
- Very very less customization

What's fun:

- Childhood to relive

CPU/ GPU Specs:

- Intel® Core™ i9-9900 Processor
- Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER

Buy/ Not buy ?:

- It's 2024, just buy this game if you have the money
- Don't buy if you plan to 100% unless you are fine with the grind

Plus:

- Decision making based RPG game, different selection leads to different outcome
- Combat system , similar to DS, Sekiro. Hit + Parrying, no combo required
- Graphics, a 2015 game that runs on any hardware you have
- Open world that has various fast travel points
- Hearts of Stone, a top tier DLC and genuinely enjoyed this DLC compared to the base game and even better than the Blood and WIne DLC
- You can approach the game via different build, meaning not just the standard hack and slash combat, but you can utilize for example the potion / bomb / marksman build, there is no 1 way to win
- Controller friendly
- Inventory management
- Vast in game skins, ranging from sword skins, boots, armor, horse equipment skins
- Beautiful mountain worlds
- The game designs in a way such that every 'section' is covered, if you have questions on a monster, there is the 'Beastiary' section. Want to read books ? Go to 'Books' section, Want to recall certain characters ? Go to 'Character' section
- There are already plenty of wikis, googles and videos available in case you reach any impasse, so fear not in completing any quest or even any stupid achievement

Minus:

- Certain achievement can be grindy, to describe a few:
@Finish the game on the "Death March!" difficulty level
@Kill 50 human and nonhuman opponents by striking them in the head with a crossbow bolt
@Make an opponent suffer from bleeding, poisoning and burning simultaneously. Do this 10 times
@Use the Axii Sign to force one opponent to kill another. Do this 20 times
of course, there are plenty of guides and videos you can peruse on how to complete these tasks effectively by lessening the grinding time

- Most likely due to my GPU is of 5-6 years, the earlier ray tracing update does not do good on my PC, enabling higher settings and ray tracing kills my FPS
- There are times selling items from your inventory to merchants results in some very obvious delay

What's fun:

- If you like 50% frontal sex scenes, sure. They can't show bottom parts for obvious reasons
- Different combination of spells casts
- DLC, that's it
- Bombs, potions
- Killer crones and Eredin on Death March level. Spoiler, it's not fun, it's what I considered to be time wasting quests for Death March level.

CPU/ GPU Specs:

- Intel® Core™ i9-9900 Processor
- Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER

Buy/ Not buy ?:

- Come on ? It's already been acclaimed one of the best open-world, third person, RPG games, ever by the game developer themselves
- 2015 game that literally runs on any hardware without any much issue barring the latest ray tracing updates
- 8 USD for the full package when it's on sale ( very too frequent ) , so just ask your parents for some money and you can immerse yourself in Geralt's world

IMMSERSIVE

Played this during the 3 days weekend free pass
Can't honestly remember the last time I played a F1 game, probably it was a F1 2000 ?

Writing this from a perspective of a person who hasn't played F1 games in 20 years

Plus :

- Very, very immersive simulated real time quick trigger actions driving game. On the track, there are a lot of decisions/ monitoring to be done from temperature, tyre wear, time, flags and of course focus, just like how you are driving a juiced up supercar

- Lots of 'side quests' to be done during and off races, tons of other options to be explored at the main menu as well

- Physics play a huge part on how you should research your car and during driving

- Pretty decent customization available throughout

- Each immersive race track offers a total different interpretation on how you should deal with, plus of course the weather implementation makes it slightly challenging

- On to the difficulty of AI, I would pretty much describe it as unforgiving but demanding as we're gonna make it as a minus as well later on. As a newbie, toggling pretty much full assist on traction control with no brakes assist, no steering assist while playing on a easy difficulty still felt to me as quite a challenging set of races

- In game sounds, team radio, commentary are really really nice. When you've played other sports games as I do, you'll definitely know how realistic F1 22 sounds are, from engine, team talk to podium

- Visually, not stunning, but realistic, which I have repeatedly mentioned an immersive driving game. There are definitely other better visually equipped driving games out there

Minus :

- If you are into it, purchasing a steering wheel/ pedals makes this game much better. You are in control of the shifts, buttons much easier than using a controller/ keyboard. You are not gonna win P1 with a controller with all assists turned off, that's just how it is

- AIs are well, AIs. For starters, pretty much 4 times out of 10 there are 5 Verstappens out there coming at you. Once you have mastered a certain race track, easy / medium difficulty becomes easy to be honest

- Noticed that microtransactions are present in this game for the purchase of skins, emotes and certain upgrades. I've never been a fan of microtransactions, never will and never will be. DLC yes, but microtransactions just nope

- If you are not an experienced driver like me, turning some assistance off especially like the traction control makes you hit the 'restart session' 10 times out of 10

- Probably too realistic in sense that sessions take a long time, whether if it's careeer mode or multiplayer. It's just the nature of F1 sport where there are 3 practices, 3 qualifying sessions and the race itself. You have the chance to toggle it a very short length of game, but that would mean taking out the realism and the fun out of it. If you have no life and decide to attend all sessions with the full lap race, you'll probably end up without a wife

What's fun :

- Once you get the hang of the F1 rules and apply it in game, ie Flags, formation lap, car device monitoring, it would be quite fun

- Cutting corners and getting a 3 second penalty

- Turning car damage on and while trying to avoid any damage, AIs will still try to deal damage to your car

- Fun with friends, NOT grindy, NOT repetitive like any RPG games

- Fun with your mum or your neighbour's step mum.

CPU / GPU Specs :
- Intel® Core™ i9-9900 Processor
- Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER

Buy/ Not Buy ? :

- Definitely a buy for me if this game doesn't cost me a kidney, Would recommend if goes on sale for like 75% or above, which it probably will in a few years time

- Not buy if you're coming from F1 2019 til now ? I'm not sure the previous iteration but this game definitely sounds just like any other money-moguls-grabbingmoneywhereevertheycan FIFA, NFS, 2K companies

- Probably very much worth it if you're into F1

Jokester game for a completionist

Solely giving this game a thumbs down without further detailed review as compared to my others ( Check out my profile reviews ! ) just because of that 1 achievement.

Originally posted by Steam achievement:
The Constructionist
Build all projects in all strongholds

Dubbed an 'open-world' game, that particular achievement requires you to COMPLETE A TERRITORY STRONGHOLD FIRST before you can complete the second territory stronghold. By not completing a section first then moving to and completing another will result in the game not 'counting' a certain progress required for that achievement. Does this sound 'open-world' or linear to you in regard to that achievement ?

Google Gutgash 5/6 or Pinkeye 5/6 then you will know. Even the 'Up to The Task' achievement which require online connection, for which though Mad Max servers had been shut down, still doable via specific game save files.

So far the only solution I had found is to actually have yourself a couple of save files, play 1 region, save 1 game slot then move to the next.'The Constructionist' achievement literally requires you to replay the whole game just because if a a territory/ stronghold isn't completed by sequence, it will not be counted, again - 'Google Gutgash 5/6 or Pinkeye 5/6 then you will know'.

As the achievement description said - Build all projects in all strongholds , sounds easy right ? Nope, you have the money, you have the woman, you checked all project and boxes are ticked, yet it just doesn't count just because you didn't complete the territories / stronghold in a 'clean' fashion.

Aside from that though, a 2015 game with

Pros
Cons
Pretty decent graphics
Tons of repetitive useless side quests
Great combat mechanics
Bad character lip syncs
Realistic weather
Poorly designed terrain
Car customization, car races
Moderate grind
Overpowered character once you have items/ better base
'The Constructionist' achievement

Achievement jokester game that I can't be bothered to even complete the rest of it

Plus :

- Feels like you're living in 1930's New York, literally
- Plotline, if this was a movie, you're gonna get somewhere between a B to C from Chris Stuckmann
- Combat system is based off taking cover / shooting, pretty decent and gets quite close simulating to a real life close quarter shooting combat
- Great cinematography especially in cutscenes where the angle or lighting capture on the characters acting
- I'm glad that at least checkpoints / saves are present in this game, just as as the 'Skip Drive' option as well
- Ammo management is crucial, so as to encourage you to fire as efficiently as possible, ie headshots otherwise you'll find yourself running around while trying to dodge bullets just to find ammo
- HP management I find it pretty well designed. Whether it's the easiest mode or the hardest mode, there's no 'tank' element in the character, you get shot, you bleed
- Driving simulates the physical realism of how a car should be driven, no arcady gimmick here
- Though not playing the original Mafia, voice acting ( only for story characters, for NPC is not ) is good enough for me, believable and quite indulging, prior to purchasing this game, worth pointing out there were some reviews calling out the voice acting are indifferent.

Minus :

- For the first time in a while, I've never felt a game that is literally, so linear. If there was a ruler, this game will be straighter than a ruler
- Despite it being a 'Open World Third Person' genre, city of Lost Heaven felt very much lifeless, no side quests available during missions, no barter system, very limited NPC interactions / dialogue
- The game coded in such a way that if you are planning to run over NPCs on the side of the road, it doesn't look like there's any game effect on it, meaning you're just seeing the vehicle 'pushing' the NPC
- Certain cutscenes where the main character's voice just sounded very much different than usually how he talks
- What annoys me the most is that in certain areas, character is kind of, but not softlocked, ie, you are NOT allowed to run in your own house / bar except when there's a mission / combat involved. Say you failed a mission and you start from a checkpoint where you need to get our of your house to your garage, you are only allowed to walk at a designated pace. This kills part of a speedrun, in my opinion
- Inventory Management is barely to none. Although you are allowed to carry 1 melee weapon ( Baseball bat / Knife ) + 1 Light weapon ( Pistol / Revolver ) + 1 Heavy weapon ( Shotgun / Tommy gun ), it's pretty much useless once the mission is over, ammo management on the other hand is a plus ( Read Plus )
- Achievement Hunting is just annoying tbh, you gonna have to replay missions after missions for trophies you have missed and then back to the 'Free Ride' mode to collect again
- Which brings me to - Fast Travel in 'Free Ride' mode is non-existent. You wonder a game which designed to have Taxis and railway tracks but you're not able to use Taxi or Trains or Trams, so you figure. Part of the reason why I just gave up for the last 4 achievements as well, maybe collection hunting isn't just my thing just like going around shooting pigeons in GTA IV or solving riddler trophies in Arkham City, it just takes up too much time
- Bugs and glitches: On some occasions, the game auto turns off the fullscreen option, leaving you to manually switch in game, somewhat of a 3 out of 15 times. Launching this game via harddisk, sometimes they game just couldn't load, restart the program and it fixes it. Haven't try via SSD but loading times via harddisk took quite some time and could even notice slight FPS drop during loading times
- As a remake/ remaster of the original, one good example of 'not good enough' about the realism are characters / vehicles passing through puddle of water cannot be seen leaving trails of water. Mismatch voice on NPCs reporting to the police is also observable
- Official Score is pretty epic, can be heard at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWV4HiJsfXU , while radio station is just a loop of a few classic songs that one will just rather turn off at some point
- Wanted level in story mode is non-existent as the direction of the narration will lead you to just leave the area, while in 'Free Ride' mode character also easily dodge police chasings. All in all, security in Mafia is just a piss

What's fun :

- If you care about small details, then turn on the 'Simulation' mode for Police, only difference is you're gonna trigger a Wanted level whenever you're above the speed limit and literally for no reason bumping into cars
- Achievement Hunting, though I have yet to finish the last 4 (Collect 50 foxes / Complete Game on Classic Difficulty/ Complete all collection / Complete all Pulp magazines ) which is absolutely gonna take forever
- Tommy's gun, pun intended.

CPU / GPU Specs :
- Intel® Core™ i9-9900 Processor
- Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER

Buy/ Not Buy ? :

- Don't get me wrong, coming from a person who didn't play the original Mafia, this was my first time. I'd expected much more from most of the hype that's been going around this first series remake/ remaster whatever you're calling it but this game just lacks the 'Open World Third Person Action Adventure' scheme to it, just felt to me that this game is more hype than excitement
- If you're a fan of the Mafia franchise, it's a solid buy
- If you're oblivion like me, buy it during sales just for the taste of it otherwise steer clear of full price, just not worth it because of the 'remaster/ remake' hype

Plus :

- Decent storyline / plot, nothing too cliche
- Combat system - hit, dodge, counter, parry, chain combos, just like your DS / Sekiros
- Different kills ( takedowns ) / variety of gadgets that can be used. If you want to compare to other games, the tools / gadgets available is pretty decent, perfectly balanced, nothing too OP
- Playing on hard difficulty, AIs are not dumb, they are well coded, however AI is still suffering from minor cases of 'lack of peripheral vision'
- Minimal to none grinding involved
- Navigating from one place to the other is very very quick, you can either use the car or super grapple
- Screenwriting is well scripted from dialogues to combat to AI converse behaviour
- Variety of villains to be encountered, Mad Hatter, Riddler, Penguin, Two Face, etc
- DLC contents are pretty nice as well as you get to play different Batman allies.
- Decent graphics considering this game launched at the era of GTA V, Witcher 3, MGS
- Double teaming missions are really excellent as you get to combat as 2 different characters

Minus :

- No mating scene between Batman and Catwoman
- This could be a plus / minus. Combat relies heavily on skill / timing / how effective you are able to hold on to the chain combo. There is no '1 skill or 1 item to kill them all' factor
- Slightly above than minimal findings of bugs and glitches, game is moderately optimized, there are certain cutscenes/ FMV that caps your FPS
- No underwater exploration, there's no 'Batmarine', so you'll just be ground / sky
- Gameplay would certainly benefit controller users much better. Playing on a keyboard is alright/ doable but controller users would benefit more due to the control fluidity. It's the same thing as games like FIFA
- Unfortunately, while trying to 100% achievement this game, I wasn't able to complete as the remaining achievements are too time consuming and with trial and error you will feel the repetitiveness starting to creep in. 1 mistake and you are penalized, so you would have no choice but to start over just to get the 3 stars
- To some of the people, the stealth kills . missions could be repetitive: You go to an area, you face goons, you secure the area by stealth / straight up combat, rinse and repeat this for probably 3-4 times, then you meet the boss ( which is the reason why I actually enjoy linear open world games rather than grindy open world games )
- Riddler trophies are still pain in my a tbh, it's just my personal preference that riddler trophies should either be lesser or replace with some straight up findable puzzles. It's pretty boring once you go from places to places, can't find it, you google it, or in some situation the riddler trophies don't appear unless you progress the story

What's fun :

- DLC contents
- Batcar, Batcomputer, Batplane
- Different enemies with different quest to take them down ( Pyg, Firefly, ManBat )
- Different takedowns / different gadgets that can be used ( Freeze Blast, Electrical Charge, Explosives )
- You get to sling around just like Spider Man

CPU/ GPU Specs :

- Intel® Core™ i9-9900 Processor
- Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER

Buy/ Not buy ?:

- It's not a perfect game by any means, which is why I would recommend to buy if you're kind of a first timer to this type of genre, and I would not recommend if you're easily bored by the repeating concept of 'kill goons, secure area, face boss'
- It's already a 6 years old game, without sale its around less than $10, with sale it costs less than $2 so judge it for yourself
- If you are a completionist type, get a controller first before you start to play otherwise just forget it
- Otherwise, it's a buy for me as you get to fantasize as a cape crusader

Plus:

- Stunning and exceptionally well optimized visuals, you don't have to buy plane tickets to see pyramids. Just buy this game and you will see the whole of Egypt ( ancient, that is ). Land and sea, equally beautiful
- Fast travelling system
- Hunting for crafting to get certain items
- Minimal to none micro transactions
- NPCs are slightly better than average, as you would expect with the reactions/ dialogues
- You get to study Roman Empire and Ancient Egypt without going to school
- Very, very mediocre but heart-warming storyline
- Minimal glitches / bugs, overall decent optimization

Minus:

- Had my friend not mention about this, I wouldn't have realized it sooner. Side quests are so repetitively boring that it made me quit this game. Let me elaborate: You go to different parts of the map, face the same types of enemies, kill them, gain levels, rinse and repeat.
- 'Same types of enemies', ie same human, The only difference with these human enemies ? Levels. The only exception where you face bigger bosses are other animals , refer to: https://acorigins.fanswiki.com/Enemies. Again, the difference between the animals are levels. There are no monsters ( technically ) in this game.
- Which brings me to the levelling system, this is a arguable point, but IMO I don't prefer games where they are level dependent in order to progress. In AC Origins, you have NO ( 0% ) chance to progress other maps of the world or even the story itself without levelling up. You will get a warning by the game saying that you are lower level and not encouraged to clear the area, even if you tried to, you can't 1 shot stealth kill / can't win a combat. It's doable if enemies are 1 or 2 levels higher, but at 5 levels higher, they're just telling you to GTFO.
- Which then brings me to the grind, you're short of level, what do you do ? Oh, let's grind. At the time of writing, my game totals at around 80 hours. I was able to cap my levels by continuously travelling from 1 place to another, same kills, same combats, gain levels. It becomes too repetitive that after I had cap my levels, I did not finish the last 30% of the map and just too bored to even finish the story
- Grinding which then brings about the levelling, once you're max / higher levels, enemies are just punching bags for you, there are minimal skills needed but overall to none in the combat department. You gained levels = you hit faster/ harder to the point that you are just pressing 1 button while your character swings his schlong around automatically dealing fire / poison to whomever comes near
- Mediocre AI just like Hitman. 1 distraction and you could take them down 1 by 1. Peripheral vision by AI is poor and performing kills by lurking around the bushes is just not satisfying enough

What's fun:

- Stealth kills but NO WAY as fun like Batman franchise
- Getting OP weapons
- Different levels of transportation ( from slow to fast )

CPU/ GPU Specs:

- Intel® Core™ i9-9900 Processor
- Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER

Buy/ Not buy ?

- It is a grinding game no matter you've checked out other reviews or gameplays, etc. So if you're the kind of person who doesn't mind doing the same ♥♥♥♥ over and over again, this game is for you
- Would recommend to buy it during sales unless you're a fanboy of Ubisoft, then go ahead to purchase it full price, otherwise not a buy from me unless this game goes for 4$ or below

Plus:

- Storyline, epic. It's what you would want in a movie.
- Combat system , similar to DS, Sekiro. Hit + Parrying, no combo required
- Graphics, buy this game and you will know what space looks like
- Music, enough said, Lucasfilm orchestra
- Element of fear, from spiders, zombies to living plants
- Huge ass beautiful maps to navigate through
- Darth Vader
- No repetitive tasks at all
- Some replayability at higher levels
- Game balancing is perfect, even if you acquire and is at higher levels, there is no '1 shot' bigger bosses, this game relies on your parrying/ dodging skills in order to counter-kill
- Wide variety of mission scenarios, there are platform scenarios/ flashback scenarios/ chasing POV scenarios for certain missions

Minus:

- Navigation of maps early start of the game ( 1 way drop makes you play 20 mins more )
- Less skins, but overall decent
- No item crafting, as this is a Star Wars game, which makes sense
- Minimal bugs/ glitches. No game crashes experienced.

What's fun:

- Acquiring skills in order to navigate/ kill
- Puzzles
- Lightsaber customization
- Achievement easily doable by googling

CPU/ GPU Specs:

- Intel® Core™ i9-9900 Processor
- Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER

Buy/ Not buy ?:

- If you don't know Star Wars like me, buy it during sale, easily best $15 ever spent
- Conclusion, buy
