It is a more polished Mount & Blade Warband in all aspects.
This game is definitely among the best medieval sand-box games on the market.
Strategizing, economy, politics, combat, graphics - all of these aspects have been enhanced to please the die-hard fans of the previous installments and I'm sure it will not disappoint the new ones either. Developing your clan's prosperity and fighting on immersive battlegrounds are especially standing out to me as good concepts of the game.

It is a very decent game.
The first and most important aspect worth praising are the graphics which are absolutely superb, one of the best graphics in a video game to this day and it's not debatable. Just look it up on the Internet- absolutely breathtaking in all aspects.
The story is certainly immersive, atmospheric and original- same goes to the created world- for this alone the game is worth giving a thought. However, most side missions are at best okay.
The main character is fine but I found her rather bland and apathetic in some missions but the main ones in which she suddenly gained a lot of character. Not sure why it is like that but it's not a deal breaker in most situations.
The combat is really fluid, dynamic and feels just great. There is a vast variety of weapons, tools, traps that may or may not help you deal with similarly varied enemies. You can exploit their weak spots and learn their feats so that you can optimize your plan how to approach them.
There is some looting and truly nice gear options to look for.
The soundtrack of this game is certainly a pleasure for ears, undoubtedly.
A game worth trying out, that's for sure.

The beginning of Larian's success and not without a reason.
+ character creation in spite of its limitations allows for creating characters most people will resonate with
+ an interesting, non-linear story that never feels truly rushed out or not polished.
+ Many interactive dialogues that were well-written. Not to mention allowing players to react to these dialogues in various ways leading to different outcomes.
+ The now infamous tactical turn-based combat that is fun, rewarding and allows for strategizing without confusing the player too much
+ A vast variety of spells in the game and abilities, allowing the player to create many hybrids (as long as they make sense stat-wise) which enables the creation of truly unique heroes.
+ Ambushes, traps, puzzles- all to enhance the gameplay and they are implemented nicely
+Obtaining new gear is always exciting and there is a nice variety of your equipment to be found or bought. Looting is fine too. There is also a crafting system and a very stable multiplayer mode that can bless you with even more fun alongside your friends.
+The graphics are pretty good with vibrant, pleasant colours and dynamic effects
+The soundtrack is also a strong point of this game
All packed in a huge open world to explore, packed with a lot of content.
As always no game is perfect but there are no cons of this game worth mentioning and warning anybody about. If you are a fan of tactical turn-based gameplay, RPG games or seek to find a game in which you can spend some time with your friend- this game just cannot be overlooked.

An ultimate, old school and rich RPG experience that will leave you satisfied.
In spite of it being a rather old game, the graphics are nothing else but satisfactory. The combat feels engaging and contains a good mix between an action RPG combat approach with some strategy and tactics- essentially the best of two worlds in that case. The music is really nice and impactful at times, which may leave you trying to check some tracks out on Youtube;)
In terms of the story- it is dynamic, interesting, the level design is really well-thought out both in terms of the navigation and atmosphere but the cherry on top are the characters that accompany you --> characters who are well-written with clear and nicely represented personalities, having their own opinions and adding many curious insights and engaging in a witty banter that hardly ever misses and frankly adds a lot to them being perceived as authentic.

I'd recommend avoiding this offer on steam though and buy the ultimate version instead as it is supposedly difficult to buy DLCs for the game otherwise and that it would end up with more unwanted expenses that you can avoid.

A game with stunning graphics, cool combat, and support from the developers who are not afraid of taking a new approach for the game if they think it can help their game to be more enjoyable for its playerbase. It is a rich experience with many things to do so that you can stay captivated for long. Definitely one of the better MMO's out there and worth recommending, especially if you are a fan of the genre.

This is the type of the game I'd love to give a mixed review.
At first the game is truly enchanting. Coming back to the world of Harry Potter as its fan surely hooks you up and seeing Hogwarts again, which was created with a lot of attention to detail, will definitely leave many players elated. The graphics of the game are magical and in general very beautiful if your PC can handle it. The school and Hogsmeade alone are enough to capture your attention for many hours. The developers definitely knew that they had to stay on top of their game to deliver a masterpiece in terms of creating the unique atmosphere of Hogwarts and they succeeded at that. Learning spells as a student feels nice and the spells are really cool and using them is convenient however at some point when you've learnt so many of them, it might be difficult to juggle between them. Magical creatures are animated beautifully and generally speaking, the effects are pretty good. The character creation is detailed enough to create a character you may like. The soundtrack is okay albeit limited to my taste. Combat is fluid and feels great.

Then, there comes a sad realization. Despite creating a big world to discover, the many activities the developers put on the map are not good in quality, repetitive and generally boring. At some point you'll feel like you are repeating the same things that are not rewarding in a slightest. There is no Quidditch and places that are not Hogsmeade or Hogwarts are mediocre at best and some of them are not even worth the attention. The main storyline is poor. It is not exciting for the most part. Side missions in the game revolving around your friends at school are also not entirely captivating, even for the fellow from Slytherin, not to mention the children in other houses. The dialogue between your character and others sounds as if the game was made specifically for children. It is uninspired and very simple it hurts sometimes. The way the equipment works sort of forces you to salvage items you find in order to keep a few of them in your inventory, making the system of obtaining items in game rather unrewarding. What is more, 90% of the equipment you find may look alright at times but for an RPG game they give nothing but some mathematical enhancements to your armor or dealing damage, making it very plain. Many choices in the game are either being nice, friendly and good or bad, rude and mean. Nothing in between and episodic or secondary characters are hardly of any interest and appear very one-dimensional. In general, roaming around the magical world on a broomstick is cool but most of the world is empty or full of places and question marks you've seen everywhere else.

The bottom line is that for the hype it received- I expected much more and yearn for more. Just creating a beautiful world should never happen at the expense of a good story, rewarding gameplay, captivating places to visit and well-written characters. I feel like for the most part, the game was good for taking pictures and it is nice that it succeeded at that but a shame that it failed at other, to me, more vital aspects. The game is very expensive so if you are a hardcore fan of Harry Potter you could consider buying it at a slashed price, otherwise, think twice before buying. It might be just enough for you or it may leave you with some sort of disillusioned thoughts after playing.

A promising title that sought to overthrow the iconic Left4Dead. It unfortunately failed, in spite of some interesting decisions such as implementing the cards mechanic allowing players to create builds before loading into a map which showed some promise, but it was quickly overshadowed by the fact that many cards were almost never used, some were too overpowered and the developers failed to cater to their game's playerbase needs. In fact, once they felt dissatisfied with the how many people were buying and actively playing the game, they withdrew from the title completely, leaving their fans hanging and disillusioned. This approach can hardly be recommendable. They barely even tried working with their own product. They pushed a few lukeworm DLCs, promised continuous development and scrapped that idea completely out of the sudden.

In terms of the gameplay, it is definitely a step in a right direction in comparison to the clunky Left4dead controls. There are many weapons which have a very nice feeling when you use them, no matter if its a gun or a melee weapon. However, the iconic, almost comedic vibe to the game, which was prominent in Left4dead, is completely absent here and the main characters try very hard but appear bland and uninteresting in spite of the banter they resort to basically every 10 seconds of the game. Graphics are definitely good and the soundtrack is fine, too. The progression is at best mediocre and the rewards you get for playing are acceptable but that's that. The approach of cutting a generally big mission/act into small missions strip the maps you encounter off their atmosphere as these missions are so short you barely even care about their layout and it also makes it so that some maps are nice and some are very boring and uninspired. In terms of the difficulty- well I'd say without a good mastery in the card's system and relevant builds, the game may prove challenging in anything above the recruit level. There are many special infected zombies in here and in general I'd say they are nicely varied although the fact that you need to hit their weak points instead of just shooting them can be frustrating, especially at higher difficulties where the game is definitely not too forgiving, making it possibly problematic for people who exhibit a rather casual gamestyle.

All in all, a game with potential, a potential wasted, definitely not worth buying for the fact that it is quite expensive. Buy it at best when the price is slashed or stick to Left4dead, this game is hardly a must-play.

In my humble opinion, it is the best Sims game on the market. The amount of content (when DLC are considered) is truly astonishing and can leave people who have spent years playing in awe of how many things there are to discover. There are many cases where people posted online about a certain feature, object, mechanic of the game that they've just discovered in spite of playing for so long.
But even without the DLC, this game is fairly content-filled as this is the only game with an open-world like gameplay which hits the jackpot. This adds so much to the atmosphere of a way a player perceives the town their characters live in. You get to see how it's changing, evolving, how families come and go, what legacy they leave behind (especially when you mod the game) and only the Sims 3 has ever done it.
Okay, indeed this implementation is not without its limits and problems. If you purchase many dlcs and launch the game, it is not optimized correctly and you pretty much need optimizing mods (which are thankfully easy to install and apply to the game) even if you own a very good PC this game WILL lag and cause you problems if you do not install mods.
If you can withstand this, you are in for a few thousand hours worth of content, the biggest potential in comparison to all Sims games (The sims 4 included) hands down. The graphics are okay, maybe not outstanding but good enough not to complain and they can be successfully enhanced by mods, too. Soundtrack is very sims like (who would have thought) but I'd argue it is the most fitting balance of a magical and optimistic vibe without sounding almost annoying like it sounds in the Sims 4.
And, what's imperative to mention, these were the times when EA still (somewhat) cared about their customers or at least showed them proper respect so the DLCs truly bring a lot of content that makes the game as the whole. It's not just a bunch of small add-ons posing to appear as something bigger than they really are.
If you are looking for a life simulator and you are thinking about the Sims 3- do not think twice, buying it (and managing its limitations and errors) will pay off.

The main campaign of Spellforce 3 has already made many fans happy after so many years of waiting for the new installment after Spellforce 2 and it welcomed them with truly stunning graphics, incredible, breathtaking soundtrack and an approachable, novel RTS set of rules and Spellforce 3: Soul Harvest has it all but with arguably a better story and re-introducing the beloved race of dark elves. If someone enjoyed the main campaign, they will surely enjoy this DLC, too.

Civ 5 does many things right. The strategic aspect of the game is perfectly balanced so that you feel like you are challenged and at the same time the game does not overwhelm you or confuse you which tends to happen in other games similar to this. The number of playable civs is remarkable and all of them are really nicely animated with fitting and aesthetically (and historically) pleasing backgrounds that give a certain vibe to all of them- something that has been ominously missing in favour of better animations in CIV6, whether that is better or not is a personal preference, I'd say I prefer the way it was executed in civ5. There are many difficulties to choose so that the game can be enjoyed by people who seek challenge or people who seek a moment of respite and chill instead of sweating for that sweet sweet victory. Balance is fine in general. The leaders have their own strategies they like to follow each time you meet them. It's nice in a way, because it tries to point at their approach to their strategy in relation to history but when you put some hours into the game, you'll get to learn their approaches by heart and this may reduce the "surprise" factor each time you play the more experience you get. Soundtrack is pretty good and varied.
All in all, a very good Civ game, no wonder for so many people it has been the best one in the series. There are not too many bad things you can say about the game and it affords a player an opportunity to spend many hours having a blast, therefore it's hard not to recommend it! :)
