I thought I'd never get the same kind of joy that I got from the original Overwatch back in 2016. I used to play that game for thousands of hours, joining new communities and making friends that I still have around to this day. I didn't much care for Overwatch 2, and I haven't been able to find another hero-shooter that could replicate the kind of feeling that I got from Overwatch 1.

That was until Marvel Rivals came out. This is a fantastic hero-shooter. Fun & versatile character designs, beautiful graphics that follow the comic-book style Marvel designs, and a monetization system that doesn't come at the cost of player experience. Season Pass is usually such a curse word within these circles, but Marvel Rivals has done it exceptionally well and it feels like you're really getting bang for your 5 bucks. Multiple skins, emotes, sprays, and other collectibles. Great stuff. It's also awesome to see how much NetEase cares about their community, and does a lot to advertise their Discord server so that people can find others to play with. And man, is it popular; the other day, I heard that you couldn't even start new voice channels on the server since it was so packed full of people. Never seen that happen, in any discord server, ever.

This has to be one of the best multiplayer games I've ever played, and I can't wait to see how far we'll go with NetEase's excellent development decisions. Here's to years of success for Marvel Rivals!
