In all the ways that you would expect in terms of gameplay, atmosphere, music, Blizzard does it again. The game looks and sounds great. Although level design is not as clear as in past games.

In terms of micro transactions and trying to maximize customer spending, Blizzard does it again, except this time, they outdo themselves. The way the game is set up to get you to spend more money as you play feels gross and overshadows the enjoyment of the gameplay.

Frankly, past Diablo games are better, and with this game, the bad outweighs the good. For that reason, I cannot recommend the game in it's current state.

It really is a shame because there are the makings of a great game buried in here, and it is possible to fix the problems with the game. Here is hoping that Blizzard's new owners Microsoft do exactly that. The question is will they? Fingers crossed!
