I reckon your critique would be acceptable if the game were at the very least in Beta (and even then, with limits).
The game's story, apart from certain moments, will not be included in the Early Access version of the game. By "the story" we mean the narrative areas, gameplay and cutscenes that make up a traditional single player story."

The only similarity between this and Bioshock is they both feature utopia/dystopia environments. Their setting's are themed around this loose idea yet has been executed in completely different ways. Its like saying any game with any style of zombie in it is just ripping off Resident Evil... which would just be ripping off the earlier released Zombies Ate My Neighbors... which would just be ripping of the earlier released Zombie Zombie.
Id avoid Early Access bud.
