This is the game i keep returning to every once in a while. Although i enjoy it thoroughly, it's a hard recommendation to make, especially for gamers, who have never played the old isometric rpg games, like Baldur's Gate and such. I think at this point in time it's only meant for folks who know what they're getting into and people who are familiar with dnd style rules - everyone else might find it an overhwelming and tedious experience. But i still recommend it. The setting is wonderful (i find the harsh northern region fascinating) the art style is beautiful and the music is brilliant (courtesy of the legendary Jeremy Soule). Also bear in mind that this entire thing is more like a long ass dungeon crawl, it's more or less constant fighting and the dialogue, although it has a place in my heart, is servicable at best (if you're looking for a game with branching dialogue options and stuff, skip this one and play Baldur's Gate I & II). It's a different kind of a beast, but i suggest you ignore people who give this game ♥♥♥♥ for not being like Baldur's Gate or Planescape. It doesn't have to be. I know i'll be playing it till i die, probably. Great fun.
