TLDR: Medieval business & social sim. Buy businesses, choose a life of crime, climb the social ladder. Marry, have kids, Own whole towns! If updates continue as they are doing this game is a must buy.

Wow...just wow. Where do I even start?!
I have so much love for this game already, despite it being in Early Access and in my opinion, it should fast be "The Guild" franchises main competitor.

The roadmap planned for this game is incredible and if the Developer, (Stardog for those that don't know) stays true to his word, then this game is possibly going to be one of my all time favourites.

There is of course a basic tutorial that people unfamiliar with the game, or this style of game can go through to learn the basics. I felt it was well done and gave you a short but sweet introduction and How To run down. It did a fairly good job of explaining the UI and what it was for too. So bonus points from me there :)

Create your character and some basic starting conditions before settling on a town. Pick your difficulty and away you go! Choose your first business and upgrade them as you profit from your goods.the more money you have, the higher up the social ladder you climb and the more businesses you can own. But don't forget to find someone to settle down with so you can produce an heir to hand your business empire down to when your time is up.
Take care of your basic needs like hunger and tiredness to ensure that you don't fall ill and die an untimely death.

The skill system in game works on the premise that the longer you spend doing a specific task, the more skilled you become. The higher your skill, the faster you are at performing that action. So essentially, sticking to one job role per character is probably the best way to go to maximise efficiency..

Graphically, the game isn't anything super special but I am actually quite fond of the designs in game and the feel very much suits the time period this is based in.


The soundtrack is very relaxing and I could happily listen to it for hours...which is a good job really as time just flies when you're playing this :D The only downside is that the notifications can get a little annoying each time they pop up, but I can live with that.

STORYTIME! :D

My first adventure began with an attractive male, I figured I could charm my way into marrying a rich woman but unfortunately, she said she loved me but I didn't have enough money to support her. So I began to amass my fortune and chose to upgrade my house to include a table of skullduggery so i could start my own band of thieves...Easy money I thought! Oh how wrong I was.....things did NOT go well and to cut a long story short, I was caught redhanded burgling a house, I fled the guards and my notoriety grew....I was caught again and opted to spend time in the pit....not realising how long this would actually be. I died in there..unmarried...with no heir.

My second adventure began with a woman, I fell in love with a man, but he too said i wasn't rich enough to support a family so I again began to amass my fortune but this time I chose to purchase an Estate farm in order to grow the goods to sell at market. I checked the markets supply and demand daily to ensure I grew what was needed and often alternated between livestock and crops. Slowly but surely i amassed my fortune and expanded into other business. With my new found wealth, the man of my dreams accepted my marriage proposal. We moved into the Estate farm and we started a family. We have 12 children together (so far! ) and the means to populate the businesses with my offspring.

Seriously...support this developer and buy this game. Even at full price it is more than worth it.

I wish we could have more independent developers that produce games of this caliber .
