Axe is one of the, if not the, most absurdly powerful hero in the lore. Let me explain:

But fighting all these guys is AXE. You know what his power is? Hitting people with an axe. REALLY hard. So hard what happens when he hits you doesn't even make sense. Take dazzle's shallow grave for example. That spell makes it impossible to die. Did satan just bend fate itself to kill you? Nope shallow grave. Did a god just smite you with the wrath of heaven? Nope shallow grave. Did a founder of the universe just unleash a fissure of energy that is akin to the one that broke the world? Nope shallow grave.

But axe? If he dunks you, even with shallow grave, you die. Even though you have a spell on you that makes it conceptually impossible to be killed, you die. AXE HITS YOU SO HARD HE BREAKS CONCEPTS.
