The best classic Sonic game to date.

This is a fan-made game made for fans. There are almost no flaws in this game, and Sonic Team should take some serious notes on it because it is indeed the best Sonic game that has come out in years.

Where do I even begin...? I'm an MK fan, but I gotta admit, NRS fumbled the bag real badly with this one. I enjoyed MK11 a lot and I think it was a worthy successor of the franchise. I know a lot of people hated it, thinking it was bland and more restricted compared to MKX, but at least it had good online play, tons of content, loads of customization, and a variety of game modes. MK1 brings nothing new to the table, or does it? Okay, let's talk about the elephant in the room... Kameos. This is one of the dumbest ideas I've seen in a fighting game, ruining the essence of MK's nature - 1v1 Kombat to this weird hybrid of tag team. Instead of 2v2, it's still 1v1, but both players use a main character and a side character? A very bizarre choice, but the mechanic is badly implemented too. Moves that are unsafe can now become safe on block when you cancel into a kameo, and it's insanely boring to play against or even use. It definitely feels a bit spammy as well. Special moves or combo strings that are unsafe have a reason for it - maybe it's a launcher, maybe it resets the opponent, maybe it extends the combo for more damage. This means the high risk - high reward is thrown out the window with this new kameo system. This mechanic is so bland and flawed that it turns laughable at some point.
As for the base gameplay itself, I genuinely like it. They got rid of the bad things from MK11 and fixed them in this one. No more krushing blows (I still liked some of them, but the requirements were frustrating and unbalanced, especially the 50/50 failed grab ones). No more breakaway. Fatal Blows now start an animation before the hit, meaning players can predict better and punish more effectively, making it less spammy. Lastly, characters in this game don't need offensive meter to begin combos. I see all of this as a plus for me. I enjoy a more rushed-down aggressive playstyle as opposed to the more strategic, zoning, and slow pace from MK11.
You only have pretty much 3 game modes as I write this review: Story, Invasions, and lastly Towers. The Towers are the same old classic arcade ladder. Story works exactly the same since MK9 - each character has their own chapter and the fight ends, cinematic begins, etc. Lastly, THE new game mode: Invasions. It's so awful, how do I even describe this? It's a Map fighter with some elements of RPG, and you go ahead and fight against CPU opponents with modifiers that mostly came from MK11. Whose idea was this? It's insanely boring, and it gets old pretty quickly. At some point, I need to take a break and stop playing Invasions because of how boring it is. Now let's talk about the problems with the PC Port. How can we in 2024 have companies that launch games at 30fps, but oh, "the 30fps create a cinematic feel". It's stupid and very out of touch with today's standards of technology. If Tekken 8 can run at 60fps on every platform, absolutely MK1 can run at 60fps on PC (and consoles). This is laziness at its peak. And with all of that, there you go, that's MK1 - people pay 70€ (or more if you want DLCs) to have this unfinished and broken game. I genuinely think the MK franchise will die once more like Armageddon unless NRS makes a drastic move and changes the game entirely. Maybe add more game modes? Create a second versus mode with Kameos disabled? Mini-games? Even the Krypt is missing, for F*** sakes. Also, why can't Test Your Might be played by 2 players like in MKX? This is such a waste of opportunity. I want nothing but success for this franchise, but I really have to put this game's review as negative. MK9, MKX and MK11 are 100% superior games to play as opposed to MK1.
At the moment, I'm cutting off completely with this franchise...

Innovative and unique game, the universe that stray is built on is just so immersive and interesting, my only gripe with this game is that its short, but everything else its just amazing, and ofc the best part: you play as a kitty cat :3

Also... the ending broke me ;_;

Initially at launch I had my review at negative, but the reason why I'm changing to positive is because with the last couple of updates (Ver. 2.0.2.) this game has been "mostly" fixed. Of course there's still things that need some work, like the original Sonic CD cinematics are LOUD compared to the new ones, and the original ending's audio feels out of place. If you're a S3&K fan, you can also download the original soundtrack. I recommend modding this game with Ultra Fix as well, and with all that done, this game becomes a solid experience for OG Sonic fans. There's a lot of new content too, like boss rush, missions, and challenges, all fun to 100%, new cinematics, and BTS artwork, updated with 16:9 widescreen 60fps with some new playable characters. 

Although I recommend this game, I also advise getting it on discount; after all, without mods, even with the plus edition patch, the game still feels unfinished.

This should have been a game reward just like the classic outfits in RE2R, 3€ for a hair change in carlos, and a different outfit for jill is a straight up robbery

This is such a classic first person shooter, i don't even have to summarize this game review for you, i mean... its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Counter-Strike for ♥♥♥♥ sakes!!!

What a hot garbage luck based game, broken, unbalanced, terrible skill based matchmaking and one of the most toxic communities ever, I've never seen in any other game so much sweat and salt this games playerbase has, considering this was supposed to be a "horror" game, believe me after the 5th match (or even less) fear will be replaced by frustration. This game should have been free by what they offer, specially for the amount of dlcs, clearly the developers don't care, they just want as much money as possible from you, but they never fix this disaster of a game.
For new players and even casuals this game is a horrible experience, just stay away from it.

What an underrated gem... the gameplay is nothing special honestly, but the story it's what keeps gamers talking about this masterpiece for years.
