Early Access Review
This game was extremely enjoyable at first, running around on foot trying your hardest to survive, being terrified of the night time, always looking over your shoulder while harvesting things not knowing if a raptor or a panther was about to pull a creeper on you silently close in and make you lose everything you had just gathered or have a scorpion sting you watch you pass out whisper everthings going to be ok in your ear and proceed to do unspeakable things to you but nothing compaired to the feeing of fear watching an Alpha raptor patrol outside your little wooden shack with your dinky walls it could one shot if it felt so inclined to do so just hoping and praying it would go away. I had a genuinely fun time playing this game on a private server that never had many people online flooding the server making bases everywhere that was a good spot on PVE and on PVP servers auto turrets that would kill on sight and level 120+ dinos on agro that one shot you everywhere you look. Ths game first started to decline for me after i tamed my first Rex. I had an epic game of tag on foot to put that sucker to sleep(this was also before tranqe darts were a thing) sat by it for almost two hours making sure it stayed asleep and fed. Oh boy... the feeling when it got up and the little box to name it popped up was amazing but.... it was all down hill from there. After the laugh i got from my tribe mate as he watched me roll in off the water on a dinky raft with a T-rex too big to ever fit on it floating on top i took it out for a hunt and for the next 30 mins i had the biggest smile on my face as i flattened everything in my path didnt matter what it was, nothing could stand up to it, even the alpha raptors i so feared fell before me. I didnt realise it till a week later but i never left my base without my rex and i feared nothing anymore. the gameplay quicky turned from somewhat of a horror/survival/sandbox type to a heavy grinding for levels and resourses type. surviving wasnt even a factor anymore. need food? farm it on the rex. need wood? have the rex follow you on agro and free farm the whole forest AND you can even store the wood on the rex to farm more. In the end myself and my tribe mate quickly lost intrest in this game and saw ourselfs playing less and less. I stuck it out for about two weeks longer than he did but was even less enjoyable alone. till one day i just stopped all together. So in the end all i can say is buy it if you really want it, but the end game is very boring unless you are into the PVP which by no means is bad but it doesnt feel like it fits this game to me(personal opinion). I would recommend buying it on sale like i did if you are unsure.

10/10 would play till level 25 again.
4/10 after level 25.

Your review is lit! 🔥 It's like reading a mini novel, so much detail and passion. You're a pro at this, seriously!

May the name Squatzilla never be forgotten. Those wonderful Thunder Thighs taking on even the mightiest of Raptors. May he always be remembered.
