Ah, Age of Mythology Retold! I've been waiting for this title for what feels like an eternity. Ever since the rumors about a new title of Age of Empires started circulating back in 2018-2019, I’ve always held onto the hope that they would eventually bring Age of Mythology back as well.

For some context, this was the first real RTS game that I truly immersed myself in as a child, spending countless hours exploring everything the game had to offer. Mythology has always fascinated me, so having it as a central theme made the game incredibly appealing. The distinctiveness and cultural appropriateness (or so much a child could understand) of the factions were fantastic, each with its unique identity, was a brilliant concept as well. The variety offered by choosing different major and minor gods added so much depth and replayability.

Of course, when you’ve been eagerly awaiting a game for so long, there’s always the risk of disappointment. But I’m thrilled to say that Age of Mythology Retold is an outstanding game on every level! I’m falling in love with it all over again. The campaign, the skirmish battles, multiplayer—there’s just so much content! The game is also visually stunning, with plenty of customizable and optimizable features to tailor it to your preferences.

I highly recommend this game and genuinely hope it sheds its status as an RTS classic underdog so that more people can discover and enjoy this truly fantastic experience!
