"There will be no dawn...for your free time"

The year is 2023 and Grim Dawn is just the tree that keeps on giving: mechanics overhaul and a new expansion coming soon. These guys have earned themselves a "Labor of Love" award nomination from me.

RTS reduced to it's core mechanics and principles. Simple to learn but hard to master and quite challenging at the highest difficulty levels. Dynamic and fast paced, it's ideal to just hop on and off for some fun every once in a while.

Impatient people beware: just one poorly planned battle can be your utter undoing, but luckily redemption is always just around the corner in the next pocket-sized match.

In my opinion, definitely worth a try for all fans of real time strategy games.

A looming reminder on the overall futility of all earthly pursuits.

Also, you get to ride a coin-pooping unicorn.

10/10, would base a whole economy on horse manure again anytime.

You'll explore a seemingly endless mansion while trying to avoid the gruesome deaths of the unsuspecting guests, all as a bigger mystery unfolds relating to the nature of the endless loop you seem to be trapped in.

The Sexy Brutale hits it highest marks in all that relates to ambiance, art, and music, offering a delightful experience all the way through. Taking a backseat to those strong points, the plot does a good enough job in keeping you moving forward, though I personally found the last twists rather unsatisfying. Puzzles were nothing to go crazy about, but still could hold their ground, never too evident but neither providing much of a challenge most of the times. I liked the way in which each series of guests get their own arc, though a final encompassing one would have been nice in my opinion to take the whole ordeal to a climatic finale. In a certain way, I just think the game starts off very strongly as it introduces the setting, but then somewhat falls short along the way as it reaches its conclusion, this maybe being a strongly subjective opinion, as I personally couldn’t get that invested with the plot progression. To add some excitement to the mix, developers have been nice enough to add some collectibles to further extend the game’s life expectancy.

Overall, the Sexy Brutale is a game more than worth experiencing. Even with my small caveats, I’m glad to have bought and played it, and strongly recommend it to anyone interested in giving it a try.

Beautiful pixel art helps bring to life a vibrant futuristic dystopia world, in which everlasting tensions between humans and robots set the tone for the unfolding of a serious of heinous crimes which is your job to stop.

Overall, Tales of the Neon Sea is a great game, more than worth its price and some hours of your life as well, assuming of course you like point-and-click puzzle adventures or want a nice solid title to kick-off the genre. The ambiance is top-notch and the plot never fails to keep you interested, all of which provides a nice background as you explore and struggle to move forward puzzle after puzzle. I actually found myself caring about the characters and loved how files and documents strewn throughout the different scenarios helped to flesh out the universe and it's people, as well as the events leading to the game's story. My only small caveat would be the loose ends the game leaves, hinting at a sequel I hope we'll get eventually to wrap the story up.

To sum up, a solid recommendation from me.
