Beautifully crafted experience in it's genre, which I could summarize as a swimming simulator. Just be sure to dig in knowing that's what it is all about and I think you'll be more than satisfied. The environments are a spectacle to behold, lush and vibrant, with a diverse collection of sea creatures going about their daily lives all around you. The music, while not being particularly memorable for me, fits perfectly well with the overall experience and adds nicely to the ambiance.

Other than that, there's hardly anything that can be considered an actual puzzle in terms of gameplay, just some minor activities to perform in order to progress which offer hardly any challenge as far as power of deduction goes. The story is also fairly lackluster, which scarcely any info giving on the setting and most aspects left to the player's own interpretation. Mostly, the truth is you just swim around enjoying the views and, if you want, looking for some collectible shells and pools which free new species of marine life into the environment once they are interacted with. This last aspect dotes the game with its highest replayability, except you just enjoy coming back to meditate and watch the scenery.

In conclusion, a very nice game within the boundaries of what it was designed to be. Just be sure to be aware of those boundaries before purchasing to avoid a possible disappointment.

Yes, it's mostly a walking simulator and yes, it's very very dark. Still, beyond those aspects, of which I'm no particular fan, Unforgiving delivers a more than successful horror experience framed by the rich universe of Nordic mythology. The environments are nicely crafted and the choice of music is outstanding, all elements contributing to a permanent feeling of dread and lurking danger. The game will keep you on your toes from beginning to end, even when there's no real immediate threat, and that's a big plus as far as I'm concerned. Other than that, the voice acting is also worth praising, neatly contributing to the general ambiance and never subtracting from the immersion.

As short as it may be (packing around 3 hours of gameplay for 1 playthrough, taking it slowly), Shapik is a beautiful game, both in it's visual and musical aspects. A soothing and relaxing experience, it's well worth giving it a try for all fans of point and click games, or anyone just looking for an enjoyable way to spend a few hours.

Simple and relaxing game to spend a few hours building to your heart's content. The art is nice and the music extremely soothing. There are no attacks or natural catastrophes of any sort. The worst that can happen is that you misplace some buildings and run out of points to move forward, in which case it's an easy restart to keep going on. In case that's still not your cup of tea, you've got sandbox mode to build freely.

In terms of game mechanics, the buildings have no influence on each other past the point of building. Whenever you place a structure, the points you get are influenced by it's base value and the modifiers it gets based on the surrounding buildings in its area of influence. Once past that point, they won't affect each other or do anything else, except for their influence on the next structure to be placed. It's building game in it's core, not a management one. The city requires nothing from you except for you to put new buildings in place. And you do that in order to get points that make new tiers of buildings available to you. Those points are the only game resource whatsoever. It's as simple and minimalistic as it gets.

Overall, the game delivers what it promises, so it's a solid recommendation from me for anyone who likes the premise.

It's a good game, but fairly short. Just don't come in expecting anything crazy and you'll probably be more than satisfied for the price. While never actually scary or frightening, the game does build with success a certain atmosphere of tension and dread, borrowing inspiration from the stories of the Grimm Brothers to flesh out the world. The story is simple and left mostly ambiguous, with further details provided in the sequel for those left wanting more and interested in delving deeper. Puzzles are not hard, and there's even a built-in hint system for when things get confusing. To wrap it up, it's easy to get 100% achievements for good-ol' lovers of completionism.

Nice little indie point-and-click game. Nothing to blow your mind, but it's got a nice touch to it in terms of art, music and general ambiance. The story is sound enough to carry the player nicely for the whole duration of the game and keep him entertained, without dragging too much and risking overstaying it's welcome. The puzzles are not hard, though moving forward requires quite a bit of backtracking and the movement system is kind of a pain in my personal opinion, with no map.

Overall, The Corruption Within is a solid delivery for 2-4 hours of a nicely accomplished and lovingly crafted horror-themed diversion which will also grant easy achievements, all story related. Beyond that, sadly there's not much replayability. Still, it's got my solid recommendation for fans of the point-and-click genre as well as suspense enthusiasts.

I would have never suspected I could get so emotionally invested in the adventures of a couple of rectangles.

Lightheartedly unleash Hell on all those who deny you your right to get your lawful 8 hours of sleep. Indulge in murder sprees as humorous as you have never seen before. Being the crazy guy next door has never been more satisfying!

I can think of few things scarier than treading through a creepy abandoned park while being stalked by a deranged furry.

10/10 - Would get creeped up on by Chad the Chipmunk again anytime.
