Well i finished dragon age veilguard. im pretty sure i done every quest found all bar like 3 chests and maxed out everything i could, and got 46 out of 52 achievements in the one run. i honestly still cant figure out if i like it, i regret paying 90 bucks for it i think at 50 bucks it would be worth it. The story just goes too crazy. too much changed from previous games, some poor writing and the cut scene cartoonish graphics are a joke for a supposed AAA game. In saying that i did play 160 odd hours of it in what 2 weeks or less since it released. I liked the character leveling and skill tree (i played a ranger also using duel wield) the sounds and ambience were great and the scenery was very beautiful. My recommendation is wait for it to drop to 50bucks if you liked the previous games.

i really wish there was a recommend if they fix the bugs option. Enjoying the game so far its a lot like many other old rpgs. limited character skill choices per class tho. i like the keep building side of it. Only problem is nearly every scripted encounter be it a monster running up to you froma semi decent distance or a messanger looking to talk to you bugs out and nothing happens. The only fix to it is to alt+f4 out of the game and restart loosing whatever advance you had made since last save. So save often.
For a 3 person dev team tho its great to see the love thats gone into it, i just hope they fix the bugs

Just a quick review. I love this style of game and have spent thousands of hours playing them. This one has the chance to become great but at the moment it is so badly bugged i cannot recommend playing it as it is. Nearly every single one of my quests are bugged out as in i have the items needed for the quest but it will not advance the questline or i have the head of the person i was sent to kill but the reward giver wont even see the head.
As for quest markers forget it they are a total joke. They do not work at all. I am being told one of my missions is to talk to the smith in the 2nd town why he wont take orders yet the marker shows as in south gate (the first town) in the blacksmiths bedroom. Like Nearly every single quest i have had or done has messed up markers without fail.
I have enjoyed the walking around and hope they fix the game up. I know its early access but when basic game breaking bugs are in it thats beyond a joke.
I wish there was a recommend only if the game develops more

For me this game has given me the pathfinder fix i so desperately needed. With lock downs causing my Pen and paper group to fall apart i had been badly missing playing pathfinder. This game gave me a great feeling of satisfying both the need for character building and unveiling an amazing story line.
If you loved any of the D&D games of the past like baldurs gates or icewind dales then this is a game for you. Dont hesitate to grab this game i loved it.
The hardest part is deciding which one of the many character builds you can dream up to play with.
Absolutely loved some of the models of monsters they felt like they were lifted out of the beastiary books and given life.
The only few things i felt that could need touching up a bit is the mythic paths need better explanation for those who have not played the PnP stuff it could be confusing and the army control of things felt a bit tacked on as an afterthought.
Overall from an old RPG lover and PnP player i give this game a 9.5 out of 10

yes the game has a few bugs and at times the russian to english translation has a few mistakes but i truly enjoyed the game. simple but effective game play and a decent story.

I have really enjoyed playing through the early access multiple times. Whilst it does have it's bugs it is shaping up to be an amazing game. The companions storylines are so very different and their interactions are great.
My only worry is that Larian will become lax and take too many years to get the game out properly. I love their other games and am impressed by how they have been very open and forthcoming with news and updates i just worry the game is perhaps too big for what they were prepared for and it will take much too long.
Will watch this one for sure and hope like hell it works out. Buy it now if you want to support them but perhaps wait if you just want to play a finished game so you dont complain and feel let down

i loved this game even given it's graphic flaws. The characters and animations were pretty mediocre but i feel the game play more than makes up for the few shortcomings. very enjoyable without being too hardcore. Good for new players to D&D or old players. from a small publisher they have done very very good

hands down my favourite game of all time. i cannot fault the game it is gorgeous to look at and amazing to play.

The game feels very old school with some nice graphic upgrades. Nothing so far has really set it apart from many other games of this genre but other than the expected alpha bugs the game is enjoyable and easy to get started. The classes are easy to figure out the magic system is a little clunky but not terrible. If you enjoyed other games of this genre eye of the beholder, legend of grimrock etc then you will enjoy this
For new player to the genre they may find it a little difficult but not overally tough to get going.
These are only my early impressions but its a game i will come back to intermitently as it seems fun
