Taking time figuring out what mods are needed for the type of warframe you will be using is key, otherwise you'll be lost without a clear path of progression as the missions will eventually become too hard to roll through.
Ofcourse you'll eventually fail missions, but understanding what mods and weapon upgrades you need to become a better space ninja makes the experience worth it, as you'll understand the game's systems better through it.
Very much like PoE, do your research before diving head first into content.
