Will update the review once completing the game. Or when I feel it's worth giving a full review.

In it's current state, day one after release, there is some minor issues here and there. Primarily what I've run into is the game not feeling smooth even at 80-100fps. I feel like there's a reason for this as Ive seen others with no issue. So Im not going to say this is a huge complaint.
Also the mouse when turning it does not feel like it's all too accurate. Yes mouse acceleration is off. Verified that as well. The cursor does not return to the same spot when turning equal amount right then back left. It ends up like a meter away from the reference point
And NPC spawning is a bit janky atm but they have put out a statement that they are working on those issues

Onto the good
It is absolutely a true stalker game. It's not as hardcore as something like GAMMA. Ammo, meds, and food are plentiful. To the point Im over capacity at this point only carrying and MP5 in my pack as a backup. But earning money is definitely just as much of a grind if not more lol.
The atmosphere is great. Emissions arent quite as terrifying in my opinion but of course they're still devestating. But most weather just enhances the games atmosphere
Im seeing some new anomalies and I love that. Plus the classics.
UI is very much a Stalker game.
Appears to have been dumbed down to an extent like I mentioned prior. This also allows the game to be more accessible for all audiences.
Im playing on veteran difficulty and Im no stranger to death at this point. Current death toll is something like 14 or 15.
The game is huge. You don't realize how big until you're overburdened and have to essentially walk your entire way to a location. Ive only made it to Garbage at this point.

If you're a fan of stalker this is definitely a game for you. If you prefer the hardcore parts of gamma then it may not be but give it a shot anyway. It's more standard FPS than survival but a fun game nonetheless. I didnt realize I sank 10 hours into the game already. I can easily see sinking 100 hours into a single playthrough. Dont rush the story, do the side quests. You're going to need them if you want to survive and experience what stalker is truly about/

Stay safe out in The Zone.
