10/10 honestly the best game to come out in years with AAA releasing unfinished asset flips as $60 finished games. LOR is a river in this game drout.

The combat is a card based strategy game that is all about experimenting to make the best deck to crush your opponents. And some have said the tutorial is not the best and it really is not, but the game play only takes 1 or 2 receptions to fully understand and here is a small guide on the basics.
If you attack someone and the arrows between the dice are golden you are clashing and that means dice are rolled against each other and higher number wins.
If the arrows are dashed and pointing to different dice then they are one sided which means one one person rolls. If you attack someone their attack will always redirect to the person that attacked them if they have a hire speed dice value.
The types of dice are attack, block, evade which recycles on success in clashes. And counter which only prock on one sided attacks as a way to help defend against it. Counter dice always recycle if you win a clash with them.
Always read passive and cards on opponents and hover over status effects to read them.
Emotion coins are things I do not wish to get into, watch hods emotions coin class on YouTube if you want the specifics. Basicly if you win clashes or kill enemies you gain good emotion points, if you lose clashes or have deaths on your side you get negative emotion points.
Finaly do your abnormality battles.

As for the story it is the best I have read out of all the visual novels and games I have played. All the characters feel real and even the i even felt attached to the one off characters you read one story segment about. You are not a person at the library but more of a spectator which allows you to get attached to both the peoplw of the city and library as you do not belong to either. I have seen some people complain saying there is too much story dialog and wants to just do the fight. Those people have 2 brain cells as this game is tagged story rich and it very much is. There is so much lore and world building that it is criminal to skip the story. And the story tyes into the fights to really rise emotions in you as the fight progresses just like your nuggets.

Which leads into the soundtrack. It is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good. I have seen someone say the opening song makes no sense, but they couldn't be further from the truth. The opening and all the other mili songs tie into the story they are a part of. Like from a place of love is a good song on its own but when you read the story and play the battle it place in it really hits hard. I won't say the names of any of the battles they are for as it feels different when you expect a normal fight and hear the normal floors battle them swap to a mili song. As for the opening it makes more and more sense as you progress the main story and once you finish the game the opening hits hard and makes perfect sense.

The one gripe I have is the grind, when you finish a mission you get some books. These books are both burned to get better cards and pages and used to progress to the next fight. And if you lose the next fight you lose the book so if you run out you have to replay previous fights to grind books. I recommend and beg of you to use the nogrind mod on the workshop as it makes the experience flow better and more enjoyable.

So all in all if I finished LOR in 2021 when it fully released it would easily be game of the year. And I think this game is criminaly underrated and unknown. I will recommend this game to everyone I know in the hopes it gets into the mainstream. Also you do not need to play lobotomy corporation to understand and enjoy this game.
