Early Access Review
I'm going to deviate from my normal review methods and instead just list out the things that make this an easy recommendation.
-The gameplay from Bastion and Transistor but with none of the stiffness that held back either.
-Darren Korb did the soundtrack - if you haven't played either of the above or Pyre, that means it's fantastic.
-The premise is perfect for a Rouge-Lite, and does not disappoint in its execution.
-Death is rarely ever frustrating, and the difficulty curve will carry you from dying in Tartarus all the way up to successfully escaping. You will get your ass handed to you, but it never feels like more than a temporary setback.
-The Voice Acting is fantastic (Zagreus in particular is incredibly charming - apparently Mr. Korb is good at a lot of things).
-The writing is fantastic - from the acerbic back-and-forth between Hades and Zagreus to the pitch-perfect writing of the Olympians, to the narrator who will describe with equally grim seriousness and gravity, the nightmarish landscape of Tartarus and the fact that Cerberus has busied himself with licking a spot on the floor.
-The amount of situational dialogue is absolutely insane - It took around 60 hours before the characters started to run out of new things to say, and this was prior to the final update meant to finish off the story.
-You can pet the dog.

EDIT
I got about 150 hours out of the game before finally setting it down - and like with Super Giant's other titles I will likely come back to play it again, especially once I get a controller.
I cannot recommend this thing highly enough.
