This is probably the best game in the series. Everything a RE4 remake should be, and then some.

The story is absolute hot dog water. Absolute warthog cheeks. So is the dialogue in general. Everything else about the game though? It ranges from good to great.

Definitely worth playing if you enjoy the borderlands gameplay loop. The gameplay in BL3 is far and away the best in the series.

As others have said, probably the best souls like that isn't made by from. High quality environments, bosses, enemy designs and lore. It's very good. You'll get 50-70 hours out of a run if you take your time, it's long, and unlike a lot of souls like titles, the quality doesn't diminish in the games third act. Easily worth 60 bucks.

Still need to finish the game, but the first 4 hours of this game are an atmospheric masterpiece.

The art direction and texture work is ridiculously good and detailed. Everything from the derelict shops and homes, to the rotting wood and overgrown lawns. An inordinate effort went into making this game ooze atmosphere and oppression.

There is low brow horror, you know, the obvious stuff (Enjoyable in its own way). Blood, gore, ghosts, yada yada, all that good stuff. Well, Silent hill has some of that, but silent hill also has something more cerebral going on. The atmosphere and sound design is so expertly executed that you can often feel the hairs on your neck standing up, just from looking at prosaic things. A long empty hallway, an abandoned farm in the distance, a closed door, an empty stroller. Silent Hills atmosphere is so good that those things, in this setting, are enough to put a pit in your stomach. This is a must buy if you have an appreciation for that kind of horror.

It lost the magic it had in its early days. Went from feeling like a project made with love to a cynical business venture. Thanks blizzard.

Has some of the best FPS gameplay I've ever experienced. Reminiscent of Doom and Quake at its absolute best. Fast, brutal, satisfying, addictive.

Doesn't work with my 4080 and 5600x. Textures are flashing all over the screen, to the point that it's unplayable. Garbage. 0/10.

If starfield were food it would be 1000 procedurally generated bowls of flavorless oatmeal.
