Early Access Review
This game is nothing but an attempt to exploit an intellectual property with AI garbage. The art has no life to it and you can barely distinguish characters or monsters as the thing they are labeled as. The gameplay mechanics are fine but the UI is very ugly and hard to look at. It is extremely obvious that the bare minimum effort went into this game with the hopes of maximizing profits while conning Wheel of Time fans. There are plenty of other card games that hire actual artists to make assets that are much more polished and better represent the IP they are using. Don't waste your time with this.

A great, brief experience full of creative ideas and spooky moments. The standout elements to me are the visuals, voice acting, camera work, and sound effects.

Despite it's 3 to 4 hour length, this game is nothing short of a fantastic achievement in gaming. This is truly a unique product, and if you think it's asking too much for $14, rest assured that you are getting a very high quality product. The gameplay is engaging, the story is enthralling, and the whole package is very polished from the voice acting to the sound design to the game's soundtrack. If you enjoy seeing what developers can accomplish in the gaming medium, or are looking for something different, I highly recommend this game.

A small warning: I'm not sure how saving in this game works, but if you want to stop playing after a "day" finishes, make sure to logout/power off and start the next day before quitting the game, as I lost a bit of progress.

This game has really neat mechanics and the visual aesthetic is very interesting. However, post-processing for both visual and audio is pretty jarring.

The reverb placed on dialogue feels like it's way outside of the mix. If the player character is talking and I'm in their perspective, I should be hearing an echo. Instead it sounds like the voice is coming from far away; the attack is just not there at all. The same principle goes for the gun character, they're right next to the player's ears, their voice should have a decently present attack to it.

Visually, the lighting effects are pretty overbearing. I think it's "bloom" that creates that fuzz around a light source? Whatever it is, I'll be looking at a fire and this effect just swallows up everything around it to the point where I can't see anything else. Digital screens can be incredibly hard to see because of this effect too.

On a more opinionated note, a minimum FOV of 90 is kind of crazy. I know this is a PC game and people love high FOV, but I feel like I'm 10 feet away from any given object in the game. It's something that definitely detracts from the experience of just looking at environments, I feel so far away from the setting.

I don't usually write reviews. It's a well-made game, but these aspects uniquely bugged me.

A sequel that builds upon and improves the original in every way. The art looks better, the characters are more interesting, and the story is more engaging. I really enjoy how this game lets you decide dialogue options in a way that feels very natural. There is a good amount of payoff in this game if you played the first one so I recommend playing that first. The only "negative" I would give is that the dialogue is written in a very particular way to make the characters sound more realistic, but it doesn't always flow well because it's not trying to. That might be hard for some people to adjust to.

- Do you have a Windows computer?
- Can you play a card game, any card game, without literally wanting to kill yourself?

If the answer to both of those questions is yes, then you will probably really like this game.

That is all.

Oh my god. This thing is amazing. It's not even really a controller, it's more like a remote for your computer. Yes, it was designed for games but it can do so so so much more.

I have been able to map it to navigate my desktop and type out word documents. I'm actually able to do homework while just sitting on the couch.

I also mapped it to use with Adobe Premiere Pro. I changed the scroll wheel to do left and right key inputs so that I can navigate the frames much much faster than having to use a mouse wheel.

This controller has so many different uses and I honestly can't believe I got it for $5

Valve if you put more of these controllers into circulation, I will totally buy another one at full price.
