Hunt Showdown is an absolute gem. Its one of those games that you didnt realize you needed in your life until you actually play it and get into its mechanics. Krytec is the absolute most active dev team i have ever seen, pushing out content updates, performance updates, and bug patches in a matter of days to weeks. This game is on track to leave early access in 1/8th the time other early access games leave the state. I cannot express how much fun this game actually is, especially if you have a friend to duo with. I can't think of a better feeling than having played with a friend for so long that you know each others plan of actions and movements, to the point that when you take down another team in an epic fight you cant help but feel awesome as hell. The gunplay is absolute brilliant, its very rare that you find a game that requires skill to use the weapons (minus the avtomat) in every single gun battle, especially since all of the weapons are lever action, single action, pump action, or bolt action. The old westerner weapons is what really draws me into this game, it makes the combat so much more enjoyable and fair. If you are hesitant on picking this game up from other reviews or just the concept of it, i would pull the trigger if you seem even slightly interested in it. It is a hard game to start out with, so dont be discouraged after the first few games. you will learn to love its difficulty. Join the Hunt!

(Update after new map has come out)- The New lawson Delta map has, as expected, freshened up the game and made it even better. It is a map that has brought back the rifle meta and even added a mechanic where you can pick up dead hunter's weapons. Not to mention the absolute brilliant idea of having those picked up weapons become contriband (meaning you cant sell the rifle if you extract with it). If you pick up that weapon you are stuck with using it instead of an easy cash grab. The Developers continue to surprise and impress me! This is my vote for best game of 2018.

(Another update as of 1.0 release)- To this very day, I love this game even more. I have put more hours into this game this past week than I have in a very long time. I am very much enjoying trio modes and quickplay. I am a huge fan of this game and Im so glad it's getting the attention it deserves. The player base has almost doubled! I am so proud to have watched this game grow and to have been a part of it since the beginning, it truly makes me happy to see such a great game all the way through!
