I really, really, really don't want to give this game a thumbs down, as it is one of my favorite games i've ever played. However, I simply can't give it a thumbs up in its current state. Balance is a big issue in this game, and rather than making an attempt at actually balancing the game the devs instead just swing the balance pendulum back and forth. One side will have a win streak and suddenly the devs will nerf something on the winning side while simultaneously buffing something on the losing side, give more favorable tech to the losing side, give less favorable tech to the winning side, etc. It does happen to both factions, however, devs do generally seem to have bias towards one faction over the other (won't say which).

Quality of life is almost nonexistent in this game, building, logi, and maintaining structures are all tedious. With 1.0 they introduced a plethora of new and very destructive toys, putting further strain on builders and logi. 1.0 also introduced facilities, quite possibly the worst mechanic that has ever been added, it adds a whole new level of grind and tediousness to the game; building and logi were already pretty bad before the update, yet doable. Solos and small groups are discouraged from playing with the new (and old) toys as many are locked behind the aforementioned facilities. People will say "bUtT ITs a TEeM gAMe U haVe 2 woRk 2gEthUr!!!!" yeah, you do, and that is still achieved no matter what you do. You are always contributing even if its indirectly, and also small groups are still groups, we should be able to have access to the cool stuff without the game being a full time job.

I don't want the devs to rework the current system, rather i just want them to add some quality of life changes to make it bearable. On top of all, sometimes big clans will "claim" resource fields and make it hard or impossible to access those resources unless they are kind enough to allow you to access them. You also risk clans mass reporting you because you do something they don't like. Both factions are largely swayed by their respective community groups where all the (mostly major) clans organize, vote, and decide the outcome of the faction. I wouldn't mind those points so much if these clans didn't simply prevent/ make very difficult for non big clans to do their own work.

However, it's not all bad. This is such a unique game that gives an experience like no other (basically Battlfield on steroids). Massive battles with hundreds of people on the same battlefield, tanks of all sizes spearheading attacks, constant artillery shelling creating no man's land or weakening enemy fortifications for easier assaults. There is a role to fit every play style, medics for support, heavy gunner to suppress enemy push, basic rifleman, tank crew member for epic armor combat, partisan for those who would rather sneak behind enemy lines and disrupt logistics, and so many more. This game has so much depth and so much to do it can keep you entertained for hours; with it being as epic or relaxed as you make it.

I have no plan to stop playing this game for good anytime soon because it truly is an amazing concept and amazing game, but until some of these issues are addressed i cannot give this game a thumbs up because they are pretty big issues in my opinion.
