First off, this is nothing like the original BoI. It houses more content and the gameplay is more fluid than the original. The variety that Rebirth provides makes it seem like a whole new game. People who have spent hours upon hours on the original BoI will still find this game entertaining.

Edit: After playing this game for 500+ hours I can say that this game is far more enjoyable than the original. There are more combinations and syngergies among items. The characters are all very unique as well.
