Wonderful game, I'm three runs deep but I certainly agree with the others recommending a blind approach. Though I will say with my runs so far, I've not done any changes to my rover and I had a pilot 'inspire hundreds to take up deep space surveying' so they could be the next, him. I'm not sure if there was an intentional target time with each run but you get bonuses to your score for being in good health at the end so I'm assuming there is. Maybe we could find, a suit for the player's character considering the lore in most cases - surely they were dealing with the radiation themselves. While I find the game really enjoyable I can see where people are coming from as far as the criticism goes with exploration. Even with, literally 4 minutes of diddling around with an alien I still had 9% subtracted due to the minor exposure. You can offset this with a really good find too, and I can see that being part of the gamble as far as the gameplay goes. It can be intentional too and if you want to 'explore' you need to do another run basically. That's fine to me, it's fun. If you're unsure then I would at least recommend this as a wishlist item for a sale.

This is one of the best historical games I've played and I'd compare it to Holdfast or Verdun for people expecting a modern warfare shooter. Even with it being EA the mission variety and challenge is, great, and the replayability for some missions is excellent. (♥♥♥♥ the apartment level)

There is, variety in the enemies, and that's mainly reflected in how quickly they'll kill you. While it is slower paced, if you end up in a good position, it's interesting to see the dynamic change. I basically think it's a lot of fun and just wanted to leave a positive review, look forward to the updates - don't expect perfection to those that do read this, there is some jank, but it's rare in my experience and the pros far outshine it. I probably need to look at the controls more, I haven't played the tutorial yet either, but if there's a way to cheek the radio while you're aiming, that would be nice. An enemy slipped past me due to that, and I had to get out of position to seal that gap, and a sniper ended up getting me. Would literally be game changing.

I wouldn't call it, a boomer shooter, people seem to have a lot of different ideas when it comes to that specific terminology and that's all good, but more specifically this is a Doom clone. The final level, is literally, just, an arena. That being said, it's a really fun arena. If you're not familiar with Doom or this style I'd compare to, say, the first Resistance. There's some nominal puzzles but it mostly comes down to navigation. The main strengths are combat flow, and weapon variety, and you have certain weapons that are ideal against certain enemies in turn. Overall, this is, perfectly fine. If I'm being honest, I would have preferred they just threw the complexity of chapter 3 at the player, from the beginning. That's when I felt like I was playing, the actual game, but the actual game was pretty good. I'd still recommend this, mainly if you're a 40k fan, and just looking for something generally quite chill.

They seem to be addressing performance issues, as far as that side goes. I can get it to run stable but for it to run stable it's not, at all, an enjoyable visual experience. The game however is very fun. A huge step up from age of wonders 3, among all the changes made one of my favorites is the fact they built individual maps for each type of dungeon in the game. There's a lot of detail, and room to explore, very nice.

New player with the latest update, joined in with friends that have played for a bit now. Optimization seems, good, ping never at any point had an issue. Lowest settings graphically do not punish you in gameplay either, very easy to register things still.

I like the variety of approaches you can take for a mission, they seem to have expanded upon the space portion of the game and the FPS portion has some genuine tension that's pretty enjoyable. While you're not flying in a vacuum the thrusters do provide different calibers of torque and there is inertia at play. All this is to say the pilot actually has a role in the crew's survival during the flight portion and that's honestly surprising to see in a game that I thought was just Tarkov in space.

Having a good time, I would recommend this if you're interested in a low-tech space, survival game honestly.

I was taken as a POW after riding a pedal bike in a serpentine pattern to draw fire across a street that our team was advancing on. It worked, technically. My assailant picked up my body and took me to their trenchline where one of their medics proceeded to treat and heal me. After I gave intel, that my team was very cool and nice, they released me. An uninvolved rifleman shot me as I exited the trench and their medic then proceeded to carry me to my line. Despite my announcements that it was a prisoner exchange, he was unfortunately shot himself, whereupon I was then brought back up by one of our medics again and resumed the search for my pedal bike. Overall, 10/10, the logistics are really neat.

To my amusement, while already playing a tabletop with a group for 40k, my friend running it bought this game for me. I don't normally enjoy civ-likes and with the ones that have explored the genre, I haven't necessarily enjoyed their twists.

This one is different.

There's a majority focus on combat and to that end this is the smoothest multiplayer experience I've had on a civ-like. To the extent that another friend whose connection isn't the strongest or most stable was able to seamlessly rejoin with no issue. All the units interact or react with remarks based on proximity and hostility to one another, and the dialogue in this regard is pretty much lore-soaked. The models themselves have an enjoyable blend of detail and style to them and they let you get up close to observe the action if you choose, not constantly an eye in the sky, and you have a reason not to be too.

The game functions under the principle if everything is OP, nothing is, which is very 40k.

I've had a really enjoyable time with it and honestly, if you just want a 40k game that's actually good, I'd recommend this one for a modern title - even if you're not necessarily fond of the genre this may surprise you.

An 8/10, I think this could be improved if the DLC factions were available as AI in the base game but I can understand why that's not the case. Would be a good way to show off the playstyle you're interested in purchasing however since the factions are, very very different from one another. With multiplayer too there's a bit of a hustle at the start of a turn since players all take their turn at the same time together. I can't tell if this was an oversight or intentional, if it was, that's fine - just something some folks may not register initially. I didn't for a few turns. Will likely stick with this for a bit though and get into the DLC once I finish exploring the base game, it is quite good.

It's a very good game, one of the more memorable indies I've recently played. I infused Ouroboros the world eater with the power of bees. The mechanics and animations are snappy and the gameplay is smooth. The first time you play is a scripted tutorial, it's the same every time, including the cards you pick up - so expect to lose that one. Not going to say much else considering the nature of the game, go in blind, if you like 'card games' in general you will absolutely love this.

Carriers still haven't been touched at all, and I am not fond of how purchasing one forces you to play the game. You'll lose it otherwise. However, the Odyssey version is incredibly smooth now - longer loading times, but it runs like butter. Endgame state of play, known as powerplay, also incorporates every other aspect about the game into its system. You can still influence results in private group and solo play, which I don't agree with since it remains a pvp model - an extremely forgiving one, you eventually get 100% rebuys on your ships after deaths, making the consequences virtually zero.

The improvements are undeniable and while people may not agree entirely, what made me play the game so much originally has been considerably updated in a very nice direction.

Get it. I don't care about your playstyle, Battle Brothers will make you a better, happier person after experiencing it.

I just jumped into the game, I saw a few trailers with those ENGOLISH accents and saw it was on sale. I had zero expectations and zero idea of what I was doing. I already had a surprise opening up a new game and seeing the options, specifically seeds for world generation, I got the impression the game was a set story. That was the first of many pleasant surprises when I came to an understanding of what it is exactly that I just bought. A masterpiece.

The writing, the score, the pacing of difficulty, the amount of care put into making the player feel like they were in charge but never at a loss for what to do next. The experience that these glorious Germans have created is expertly crafted and nestled comfortably in a world of Grimm monsters where you feel superhuman when in possession of a helmet that covers one of your guy's faces - up against hordes of greenskins, necromancers, and direwolves.

Everything comes down to battling, everything surrounding the game is meant to get you into battles. It's for that reason that what captivates me most about the combat system is the preparation. The fact that you're trying to avoid fights most of the time rather than charge into them. There is no moral system, there is your reputation but you'll soon learn your band's lives matter more. Every choice you end up making isn't for flavor text saying you did good, it's so your band is fit enough for the next job. Even going so far as to hire a few local cripples and give them pitchforks to be meat shields for your real troops.

This game is a real treat and because of the details and smooth execution you can play it for 30 minutes or three hours and still close out satisfied. Overhype Studios strikes me as a real genuine developer to support and keep an eye on. I've been watching Jaysen, one of the devs, play the new DLC as well and hearing him talk about the game and how engaged they are with the established playerbase is excellent. Little stuff like talking about the quality of life fixes and such that players in the past have submitted for feedback, that they've now added.

Just... Just get the game, guys, it's real good. Worth it.
