The Two Thrones is a great conclusion to the great Sands of Time trilogy. The Two Thrones is set immediately after Warrior Within, with the Prince returning to Babylon on his ship with Kaileena. In the time that he was gone from Babylon, the city has been ravaged by war and the Prince finds himself in the midst of it. Because of the time altering events at the end of the first game, the Vizier is still alive and is on a war path. After some events, the Prince finds himself assisting and with the assistance of a familiar face, Farrah. Just like the first game, although she has no recollection of you due to the timeline correction, Farrah works with the Prince to hunt down the Vizier before he destorys the city. However, this time, the Prince becomes afflicted with some parasite after an intiial run in with the Vizier. The parasite transforms the Prince into some sort of Hybrid sand monster and he gets some new cool abilities, but at the cost of a really rude voice in his head.

That's the essence of the plot without really spoiling anything.

On the technical side, The Two Thrones plays just like the prior two games. The acrobatic elements are great. The combat is great. There are a few clunky areas, especially towards the end of the game, but the overall puzzle acrobatic design is great. The levels are well designed too, with an epic scope as far as how massive the rooms can get. It's an old game so I'm not going to criticize the graphics or anything. The music can get really intense and really raw, I was really digging it, especially in the last few levels where the Prince is on the final ascent of the main tower in the city.

Basically, this is a really fun game and I'm glad I finally beat the Sands of Time trilogy.

The Maw is a short, fun, 3D platformer where you play as Frank. Frank is some weird alien creature that escapes a boring life or prison or whatever and comes into contact with the Maw, whom he is able to control. Together, Frank and the Maw fight through various levels as the Maw also eats different creatures, growing at various points. Enemies vary but it can feel repetitive. Then again, this game was designed for children and I'm 24. Anyway, it's been in my library for a long time and I figured I might as well play it having just finished a number of other longer games.

I really liked Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood; the prequel to the first Call of Juarez game. Set in 1864, and then 1865, and later, 1866, Bound in Blood revolves around the McCall brothers. You might recall Ray McCall, the badass priest from the first game. And you might remember Thomas McCall, the "father" of Billy Candle from the first game. Well, they're the stars of Bound in Blood, and their youngest brother, William, shares the adventure with them as the good shepard, a preacher.

The game begins in 1864, when the Civil War is coming close to an end. Ray McCall is a member of the Confederate Army, and works to make sure Thom is safe. Ultimately, the two brothers desert their ranks to save their family from the Union army. They manage to save WIlliam, but their mother has already passed away. This is where the game's story really picks up. Their commanding officer is Barnsby, and he is rather pissed off that the McCall brothers fled. He's also delusional and thinks that, despite the Union army winning the war, he can help revitalize the southern army and win the war.

Anyway, the McCall brothers follow what I like to call the "classic Western format." The classic Western format is when a group of people, the people here being the McCall brothers, travel a great distance with a single goal in mind, to make some money in order to rebuild their family home. They travel, and run into a great number of characters, some of which are in the first game, set some 18 years after the events of this game. Without getting into the plot, the gist of the McCall brothers traveling involves getting into plenty of gun fights.

The narrative of William is easily the centerpoint of the game. It's strong and well written. It emphasizes the various themes of the game, and his narrative will ultimately lead Ray to become the man he becomes in the first Call of Juarez game. I will say that the writing and story in Bound in Blood is quite strong. What's not strong would be the animation. I'm not surprised either, it's a Techland game and most of their games have animation that's not terrible, but not great, like Naughty Dog or Remedy or Rockstar great. However, the vast openess of the game, despite being a linear shooter, is remarkable, and does more to make up for the games few technical shortcomings. The scope of the world that Techland made is quite something. It's not surprising considering how they've transitioned into the open world genre with their more recent games. Hell, even Bound in Blood has some "intermission" parts where you can do a few side quests in a semi-open world zone.

Pretty tight game overall though. Voice acting could be better from a few characters. And some of the visual effects weren't executed that great; most post processing effects really, specifically depth of field.

This is one of those games that tests your speed running skills and quick comprehension of a platformer. It's like Sonic on crack. And, by all means, the developers have perfected what a game would be like if the only choice was to speed run it. And, I have to say, I'm not a speed runner at all. I like to take in the atmosphere and observe the environment and my surroundings at my own pace. This game certainly has a target audience in mind, and people who love to rush through a game will love it.

Medal of Honor: Airborne exemplifies the importance of the soldiers in the Airborne Division. While the game doesn't inherently have a story, it does have a flow of the various operations the 82nd Airborne Division played a part in. In my opinion, that's what makes this a great WWII game. It's a classic FPS with simple gameplay. There's nothing to hate about it. It's not perfect, and sometimes the fighting is repetitive. It's also relatively short. But it's a great game, nonetheless.

I give it an 8.0/10

From what I played, this game is a ton of fun. It's a side scrolling shooter where you fight person after person and get to ride a giant wolf that eats people and attacks flying robots that look like squids, and more! Honestly though, I quit after I beat the first level because I have no idea what the purpose of the game is and I saw the game in my library, only being 81 mb, I figured I'd install just to check it out. I have way too many games to play and play most of them for their plots. I don't know what the plot here is, but, irregardless, this game is a lot of fun.

Gunpoint is a good game with a good story. On paper, it might seem difficult, but it's actually pretty easy once you understand the hacking mechanics. It's on the short side, so you can breeze right through it in a few hours.

The story revolves around a freelance espionage agent that is startled by a murder in a building next to his apartment building. He only ends up investigating it because he sets off these new spring shoes he bought which launches him into the murder building. Conway ends up being part of a conspiracy and helps track down the real killer why also figuring out why the victim was killed.

Good game. Good soundtrack.

Alright. First thing first, if you have an AMD card, download D3DOverrider and force vsync. There's no vsync option in game and the AMD Catalyst Driver doesn't work if you try to force it through there.

Now then, I guess, I mean, it's not a terrible game. The story can be debated as to whether or not it's decent. Let me just say that it runs extremely well, the graphics are decent, and the audio design is good. What people, such as myself, find awful are a slew of other things. The voice acting and written dialog are rather atrocious. "♥♥♥♥! The ground's shakin'" "We're seperated, I'll find another way around!" "We're in space?!?! On a space ship?!?" It's just not good writing. Secondly, lack of variety in enemies. The boss fights are way too repetitive. The story, while it kept my attention, it was pretty mediocre.

You play a cop who, in the middle of an alien invasion, gets captured with his partner. The whole story surrounds this cop, after escaping a prison, fighting his way to try and find his daughter, which ultimately leads him to fighting his way to the alien Lutadore leader. It was about as generic as generic gets. There is one plot twist that caught me off guard; all spoilers aside, the planet you live on isn't a planet at all. It's some dome that's actually a space ship. Surprise! My problem with this revelation is the context of it. There's no bloody context as to why these humans are living on this dome. Are they some kind of science experiment? Who cares!?!? Honestly, at least leave behind some clues with collectibles or something. The devs did jack squat to explain it.

Well, this Gears of War clone wasn't that great to be honest. I give it a 5.5/10. If you like cheesy, cliched, generic third person shooters, this is the perfect game for you.

The initial reviews for Watch Dogs on PC were relatively mixed due to poor performance and optimization, all of which can be blamed on Ubisoft Montreal. Nearly two years later, I finally got my hands on the game and plowed right through the campaign; and I have to say, it's definitely a good game. I can't say when Ubisoft patched it so the performance issues are no longer there, but the game runs perfectly fine.

Now, the game itself. Watch Dogs is a good game and a great new IP for Ubisoft to play with. It was definitely a breath of fresh air after constant releases of Assassin's Creed and Far Cry games. The story revolves around Aiden Pearce, othwerwise known as "The Vigilante" or "Fox", as he tries to uncover who put out a hit on him that led to the death of his niece. Aiden is a professional hacker and utilizes his knowledge to hack his way into the ctOS where he's able to track his targets. It's a well written story with a number of unique characters, twists and turns, a great soundtrack from the guy that worked on Hannibal, great graphics, great animation, shocking scenes in the ghetto; all around, great game.
