One of the finest RPG's I've ever played to hold a complex and compelling story, competing with the Mass Effect games. Great graphics for a 2007 release. Some of the animations are clunky but the immersive world really makes up for it. I wasn't exactly a fan of the fighting gameplay, but I got used to it.

Geralt is a badass, and his story is a wild one. Awoken and found with amnesia, Geralt doesn't try to find out his past, but rather works without it to fight for the future. Like any other RPG, there are substantial amounts of choices that could effect the game. And in The Witcher, the choices are sometimes difficult. There are sides you can take, or you can take no sides. Either way, the path to ending the game is long, so prepare for quite a wild journey.

Bioshock Infinite is a game that has great story, atmosphere, gameplay, graphics, characters, dialog, setting, enemies. Can the list go on? No probably not, it's just all I could think of off the top of my head. But in actuallity, Irrational Games have succeeded in creating another successful title in the already great franchise. While the primary antagonist isn't as interesting as Andrew Ryan or Atlas from the first Bioshock, Comstock is a worthy villain, or is he? You'll have to play the game to find out yourself, the narrative is just too good to pass up. My personal GOTY 2013.

Classic stealth game. Not in the same league as Metal Gear Solid, as far as some of the story elements go. And the cutscenes are no-where near as cinematic. Great plot nonetheless.

You are Third Echelon agent Sam Fisher, and you're going to the world with your stealth.

No really though, the stealth in the game is unlike any other 3rd person stealth title. Hiding in the shadows, climbing poles and epic splitting above people's heads. It's quite awesome.

The plot is Tom Clancy eque. He didn't write the game series, but he did create the character and the universe, so props, and RIP. This series is exactly what I expect from a master of the military spec-ops genre.

The surprise game of 2012. Stunning graphics, great combat and a truly great story. You are Wei Shen, and undercover cop in Hong Kong's underground triad world. You make your way into the triad and rise up the ranks while questioning what you're really doing. There conspiracies in the main triad mission while the police missions also involve a series of investigatng. It's the GTA of police games, compared to how LA Noire turned out. ( I liked LA Noire, by the way) The fighting combat is like Assassin's Creed meets Arkham Asylum. And the DLC is fun too.

This heist game is Left 4 Dead meets cop killing bank robberies and escape missions. And other heists. It's truly fun and will keep you captivated until you buy PayDay 2.

Metro 2033 is glorious. Just beware that it's graphics heavy with particles and awesome effects.

The story is pretty good, certainly not the most original, but what is now-adays? You are a Russian native in the Moscow underground, living in the 'metro' tunnels, when one day, everything changes. Not that life is already different, considering that demons and ♥♥♥♥ live above, on the Earth, and are always breaking into the underground. Your quest begins when you are tasked with travelling to another station and the adventure truly is breathtaking. You meet several characters with brilliant voice acting.

The level designs are great, I assume they're based on real stations, but I wouldn't know. The textures and cloth and all that jazz, it's all very nice. The character animations might be the only clunky aspect, as they're not that great.

Classic game with all sorts of neo-noir and action.

Max Payne is a detective that suffers from the traumatic murder of his wife and child. Because of this trauma, there are some serious psychological dreams/hallucinations within his house between missions. They're really bizarre and set themselves apart from the rest of the game, which is a very arcad-y type of third person shooting galore. Max Payne is also the game that popularized bullet-time. Overall, this game is great for the writing, pacing, and intense action, which is non-stop.

Another great game released from Rockstar, although developerd by Team Bondi.

The recreation of LA is glorious, the cars, the facial animation, the characters, this game has all the chops of a great detective game. It was just the story. While I loved Cole Phelps as a characters, he made some choices that made you facepalm, "COME ON COLE!". Once you get through the story, free roam mode is sweet as you get to find famous locations and collect things, I actually had way too much fun with this game.

You are Cole Phelps, a rookie cop with the LAPD in the late 1940's. While playing as Cole, you will get to learn about his past in the war, rise through the ranks, become a public hero and chase down the Black Dahlia killer. LA Noire is not your standard open world action game as it is certainly more than that. It's more like an adventure detective game where you use a gun every now and then. More later in the game while working Vice than during your time with Homicide.

Very fun, but I probably would have made different choices later on in the story.

Graphics are stunning for being an indie release. Story was lacking a little, but the quick pacing made up for it. It's a short game and is on sale often. I think I picked it up for just under $1, so for some glorious water animation and an alright story, this game is quite alright.

Surprisingly a really fun game for being so old. Blending in is rather difficult and there are definitely trial and error situations. The plot isn't much to talk about for the first number of missions, but 47's background is worked around with cut scenes in between missions and the last few missions where 47 finally involves himself with his creation. The stealth mechanics can seem clunky, but again, this is a decade plus year old 3rd person stealth game.
