This is a hard one for me since this was one of my favorite games of all time with 600h played while writing this.
I never witnessed how a DLC can ruin a game before, but now it happened.
The newest DLC came with an update for everyone that straight up broke and corrupted the whole base game and basically makes it unplayable. There is no option to remove it nor to downgrade your version as soon as you have it.
For some reason, the whole game is now bound to FPS and when your PC is decent, you will run into extreme gamebreaking bugs.
This update was obviously never tested at all, since you run into bugs even the first time you launch the game. (audio settings resetting every time you launch blasting you with 100% volume, even though it shows it lower in the settings and that's just one of the bugs)
It is heartbreaking for me to see one of my favorite games butchered by people that don't know what they are doing.
Gearbox pushing an unfinished product out is one thing and almost expected. The other thing is the execution of all this by the devs themselves.
Since they broke the main game, I should be able to refund the game, even after 600h of playtime, because it is simply not playable anymore.
The devs and the publisher should be ashamed of themselves.
The only thing they addressed are the regional prices for the game. Of cause pricing is the thing that they will address first of all things.
It really makes me cringe how someone can take a great game and turn it into a buggy unplayable mess.

good news - it's actually possible to downgrade pretty much any game on steam, uncluding ror2. i did it and was actually able to play a run without the horrible changes from the latest patch. a pretty good guide is https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/1086279994 , even though it says it's outdated it worked pretty much flawlessly for me
