As a long time fan of the Battlefield Series (played since BF2), I have come to the realization that the Battlefield Series is officially dead. This was the final nail in the coffin for me and I no longer believe Dice/EA has the talent or commitment to make BF games anymore.

There are many, many problems with this game. My 3 biggest problems with this game are:
(1) Horrible map design that offers no protection from vehicles/snipers and forces players to walk for minutes before they can get to the action.
(2) Same specialist on both teams, so everyone looks like clones - this really ruins my immersion and ability to tell friend from foe. It is beyond me why Dice could not just make different specialist for each team/nation.
(3) Poor optimization and graphics - This game just runs like ♥♥♥♥. I have recently returned to BF1 and that game from 2016 runs much better than BF2042 and it looks way better too in my opinion.

It is like the Battlefield series is evolving backwards and has lost it soul - This game is not battlefield! It is a failed impostor! See you in BF1 - the last great game in the Battlefield series.
