Helldivers 2 is one of the best Co-Op games on the market right now!

The Galaxy’s Last Line of Offence. Enlist in the Helldivers and join the fight for freedom across a hostile galaxy in a fast, frantic, and ferocious third-person shooter.

The World
The surroundings are varied and beautiful. There are many planets to choose from. The campaign is community driven, and all players are helping to liberate and defend planets against alien threats. The planets you can choose from vary and rotate depending on which planets are under siege. When a planet has been 100% liberated by players, it cannot be played anymore for the time being. The replayability is very good. The missions are varied in objectives and terrain, even if you are playing the same planet over and over again. Every mission feel different.

Enemies
The variety of enemies is good enough. You can choose to face Automatons (Robots) or Termids (Bugs). I find the Automatons to be a much more difficult opposition for the most part, since they have guns and tanks that can shoot. Some of their attacks are almost impossible to avoid and can one shot you, if you don't take cover, especially on higher difficulties.

Gameplay & Co-Op
The gameplay in Helldivers 2 is very fun and feel fantastic. Throwing yourself out of the way while a charger charges you and shooting enemies at the same time is just epic. There are many different and satisfying weapons and Stratagems to use together with your friends. Stratagems are a wide variety of powerful ordnance and war materiel that Helldivers are able to call down from their Super Destroyers (Your ship) during missions. Helldivers 2 is also much more fun to play with friends than to play alone. It's even more fun playing with randoms than playing by yourself in this game. You can play up to 4 players. It's built for Co-Op play. For example, some weapons can be reloaded faster if a teammate helps you out with the reload. You also have to plan your reloads, since reloading in this game discards any remaining rounds in the clip.

Calling down Stratagems requires planning and stress tolerance. Some Stratagems have a long cooldown and you have to think about whether it's worth calling down right now or if it's better to save it for later. It is also important to coordinate with your team, as some Stratagems, for example Resupply, are a common Stratagem. When you want to call down a Stratagem you've got to rapid-fire a series of directional inputs on the arrow keys or on the WASD keys. This can be very stressful in a situation where you are being chased by a large horde of enemies. Fail on the last arrow and you have to start over. I have over 60 hours of gameplay now, and I’m still not the slightest bored!

Difficulties & Loot
Helldivers 2 has nine levels of difficulty. That's right. Nine. You must start on Trivial (1) and complete one Operation to unlock the next difficulty, which is Easy (2). Then it continues like this until you have unlocked Helldive (9). An Operation is a collection of missions and the amount of missions in an Operation increases with increasing difficulty. Everything increases the higher the difficulty level. More enemies overall, more difficult enemies, more modifiers/debuffs for the missions, more objectives, etc. Higher difficulty also gives better loot and XP. More medals are awarded after completed missions, more samples can be found on the planets and more.

Medals is a type of currency which is rewarded by completing missions, completing Personal Orders (Daily challenges) or Major Orders (Community challenges), or found during missions. Medals are used to unlock new things in your Warbond (battle pass) such as weapons, grenades, armors, etc.

Samples is another currency which can only be found during missions, and come in three varieties: Common, Rare and Super Samples. You lose these when you die, but they can be picked up again by yourself or your teammates. The player holding the samples must successfully extract at the end of the mission. It doesn't matter who picks up the samples and extracts with them, as long as somebody does. Otherwise no samples will be rewarded. Samples are used to upgrade your Super Destroyer, which gives you permanent buffs.

Requisition Slips is a third currency that can be found during missions and also awarded for completed missions. These are used to unlock new Stratagems.

Supercredits is the fourth and final currency that can be found during missions or by spending medals in your Warbond. Used to buy new Warbonds or buy cosmetics in the Super Store.
So there is quite a lot of content to farm for and unlock in Helldivers 2!

Constructive Criticism
I don't have much to complain about this game as there have already been good updates to the game that have only made it better. What I would have liked to see in the future is a feature where your dude doesn't automatically climb random terrain when you sprint that gets you killed. There is a keybind for climbing, so why include automatic climbing as well? Doesn't make any sense.

I would also like the missions to become more difficult for each mission in an Operation. Right now, it doesn't matter which mission you choose in which order in an Operation. If there are 3 missions in an Operation, and the second mission gives more medals than the first, and the third gives the most, shouldn't the third mission be the hardest? Just a thought.

The max lvl is 50, but already at lvl 20 you can unlock everything you want once you have the currency to do so. This is a bit weird in my opinion, because you don’t get anything else for leveling up the last 30 levels. At that point the focus is all about farming the different currencies.

The Verdict
Helldivers 2 is one of the best Co-Op games on the market right now, no question about it. If you have some friends who are hungry for a new Co-Op game, and haven't played this game yet, don't hesitate to give it a try! HELLDIVERS TO HELLPODS. I REPEAT. HELLDIVERS TO HELLPODS. DUN DUN DUN DUUUUUUUNNNN! And yeah, the music in this game is EPIC.
