Bought dayz nearly 10 years ago now, been on and off playing it over the years. Absolutely love it.
But if you're looking for that hardcore survival with really great multiplayer interactions, albeit PvP, team ups, trading etc. It's a top notch game!
Definitely give it a try. The modding scene is crazy as well! Some amazing community maps.
