Masterpiece

Very mid tier game.

Story is incredibly weak.
Combat is weak.
Building is cool, but barely any better than the first game.
Exploration is uninteresting.

There's so much potential but they gave up. They didn't even make a VR mode like the first game.
It's hard to recommend a game when every few minutes you question why you aren't just playing the first game again.

I really want to like this game but elements of it's design just feel hostile. Character creation... I have absolutely no idea if I should try and maximise money and skills in the character creator or just play the game? I did a scavenging run and when I got back to the station I was arrested... Never told what I did wrong but now I have more debt (That's fine, I just wish I knew what I did?) Half of the scrap that I got I couldn't sell for some reason and I am not even sure how I begin to pay off my debts.

Plus I get stutters every 10 or so seconds which really grinds on you.

I won't refund but I think the devs need to just 100% focus on performance and clarity of information. Maybe have an opt in story driven tutorial where an experienced salvager takes you out on a mission and shows what you should even be looking for? Should I uninstall every single floor tile to get as much money as possible or get big items from multiple ships? No idea.

Cool idea that I want to get into but it just might be a bit too obtuse right now.

Final boss is absolutely terribly designed and ruins the entire DLC.

"get gud" - no, make an actual good boss.

I think this will be good one day but at the moment it's a bit meh.
My main gripe is missing settings - I can't seem to set a deadzone for my controller making it useless and there's no FOV settings.

I guess I expected a bit more of a finished product.

Boring, outdated, clunky. Sure, it's beautiful. But this is a game of inconvenience.

You're supposed to get immersed but when everything takes 40 steps with the same button press and 9/10 missions are extremely boring you end up feeling exactly the opposite.

I don't know what people see in this game.

Multiplayer doesn't work - devs want me to open ports in 2024 - but laser tag is being added so... yep

Maybe focus on the core game and not... laser tag? Seriously, wtf?

TaleWorlds have abandoned this game. Don't buy it. Pirate it, mod it, and you will legitimately have a better time than if you own it because you won't get auto updates that break all the mods.

Have you never played a Mount & Blade game before? Buy Warband. Seriously.

So much potential but they left 99% of it out of the game.

Battles are cool and that's it.

Dialogue sucks, your companions suck, running a kingdom sucks, being part of a kingdom sucks, quests suck, starting a family sucks, crafting sucks, city management sucks. I could go on.

Don't buy it. Save your money.

Absolute classic - Sorry George, you're a great director but maybe you don't know video games.

The only downside to this game is the final boss fight on top of the tower. The boss likes to sit below the floor of the level and shoot rockets at you which is reaaaally fun and definitely does not seem like an oversight by the devs at all.
