Early Access Review
Disclaimer: I received a copy from the dev and beta-tested this game.

RW2 improves on almost everything from RW1. A lot is different: spell upgrades are more powerful, and limited to one per spell. Many spells have been reworked in many ways; for instance, Wolf now gains benefit from num_summons stat (enabling you to summon extras with each cast) and start with pounce. The equipment system is phenomenal, allowing the player a great variety of options to choose from for diverse and powerful builds.

It's in EA and it definitely needs some polish, so if you are a gamer like me who prefers games that are well-balanced and have completed their development, let it cook. But if you are a fan of RW1 (or similar roguelites or ARPG-lites) and can't get enough, you can't go wrong picking up a copy. This feels like a solid evolution of everything that made the original great.

Now, I put on my robe and my wizard hat...
