@The 4Th Survivor, good melee players can carry the team by; tanking an killing whole hordes, solo special infected and Breakers, Ogres and even hags at times (with exceptions)
I think you've never encountered a good melee player before and should change your preconceived notions about melee.
I have a melee/doc build that specializes in cleaning hordes and healing/assisting the team.
Though... a lot of players are really bad at strategies, deck building, optimization, and teamwork.
To me, you are the problem because of your arrogance.
You rage-quit before you even see your melee teammates do anything to prove themselves.
