Okay so this game has serious performance issues that are excusable for a AAA game for 70$ I'm as sick as everybody else of these huge games releasing broken. As for the micro-transaction drama...I think it's blown out of proportion. The stuff you can buy is stupid and can be gotten in game fairly easily and in no way is necessary or even game changing really in anyway. Dragons dogma one also had the same kind of ♥♥♥♥ and it wasn't a big deal then and isn't for me now. The misinformation and straight up lies being said about it is seriously crazy. I saw multiple people saying that the ability to make multiple save files/characters was behind a micro transaction and all kinds of other dumb stuff like that which is just not true. I will say they need to fix the dumb*ss auto save system because it's just unnecessarily bad, limiting and prone to ruining huge chunks of progress if it auto saves at a bad time (almost had this happen to me when it saved while I was on a cliff ledge I apparently wasn't supposed to drop down to and it took me like 10 minutes to find a place to safely slip off). All of that being said...This is one of my favorite RPG games possibly of all time. For me it really is up there with skyrim, the soulsborne games and obviously dragons dogma 1. I loved DD1 and have been waiting on a sequel for almost 10 years so for me it really has lived up to the hype. It is a massive open world rpg with awesome environments and ai interactions along with some of my favorite melee combat in a game outside of souls games. I think once they fix some of these issues with a patch and people start giving it a shot it will go down as a cult classic like dragons dogma 1!

TLDR: It's got problems with performance and the sh*tty save system and some super trivial unnecessary micro-transactions but if you like open world action rpg's and liked dragons dogma 1 you will probably love it (if your system can run it) If you're on the fence wait until fixes roll out.
