I LOVED the Soy foods immensely. I am currently Six Foot ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Four. I have a massive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beard, and decently sized 7inch ♥♥♥♥ with visible veins. first of all how DARE you. I grew up with bionicles and they had a surprisingly deep and involved lore, ranging several book, comic, and movie series aswell as multiple "phases" or different styles, and I along with most of the following was very upset to see the line discontinued years ago. Now Lego has the AUDACITY to attempt to bring back the series as a feeble cash grab, while almost COMPLETELY abandoning the original build style in exchange for the cookie cutter hero factory build style that a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 5 year old could put together! LITERALLY the ONLY thing tying this back to the original series is the masks, which is a TOTAL disrespect to the original characters. So NO, either you did NOT play with bionicles as a kid, or you are STILL a kid, which in that case, I feel sorry for you and also get off this subreddit, or you're just USING the bionicles legacy for stUPID WORTHLESS UPVOTES INSTEAD OF ACTUALLY BEING CREATIVE OR CLEVER. NORMIE SCUM!

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Bionicle. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of intricate canon most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also the Toa's heroic and optimistic outlook, which is deftly woven into their characterisation - their personal philosophy draws heavily from Vedic literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciatethe depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Bionicle truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Makuta's existencial catchphrase "You cannot destroy me, for I am nothing" which itself is a cryptic reference to Witi Ihimaera'd epic Pounamu.
