I love all Doom games, they may all be a little different, but this keeps things fresh, but iD have always made sure it WAS Doom and this is no exception. The guns are all back with even more amazing weapons to add to the arsenal and the upgrades are pretty fun.

Glory kills are just super fun, though some of the smaller ones can get repetitive, but if you actually learn your favourites ones and tactically play in such a way to get that type of kill then it adds another layer of fun and skill. Overall I would say there was enough different types of glory kills so my concerns here thankfully wrong.

Graphics are very nice and runs very smoothly on a Nvidia 970, loading times are pretty fast too. The story is ok, though not a super fan of Doom guy not being a hard core ‘Marine’ this time, but some sort of other life form from another planet and happens to wear Doom Marine Armour while his ‘brothers in arms’ wore medieval helmets and used swords. Also some of the cut scenes are not skippable and though they are fine on first play though they get tedious on multiple play through….lets face it we play Doom just to kill kill kill in gory ways!

I nominated this game for Team Awards new nomination of ‘Most fun ways to kill’
