So far so good. A very cinematic game that thrusts you into the past and explore locations, like the University, like never before. Runs smooth as silk too, even on High settings

Beautiful graphics, playing on High settings. Once you get into the open world part of the game it does remind you of the previous installments. Do the side quests to enhance your experience too

Awesome game for those looking for a meaty story, a large cast of interesting characters, and some RPG-related battles thrown in. The story and your choices to affect the story are key here, make no mistake, and if you are expecting numerous customizable options like a Balder's Gate you will be disappointed. But that is not what this game's goal is. This is a meaty story for adults, plain and simple - it is thought provoking, challenging, and dark in relation to its themes. It is a real historical world, yet not, and yet it feels as if you are creating a world in that time period. There are, however, very funny moments and moments you will cry- a testament to the writing in this game.
The visual style is one of my favourite things about this game which kept me coming back for more. The detail is amazing and I love the top down approach. It's a bit Disco Elysium and that's a good thing to keep your perspective on the city you are running through.
The gameplay is very balanced throughout, only a couple of battles I had to redo 10 times to get through but with practice it is satisyfing to push through and win. The detective/search scenes are fairly straightforward, and some people have critisised as maybe too easy but for the length of the game and the pacing I had no problem with this.
Overall, this is a gem of a game - great story, hard achivements (to get them all on one go), beautiful artwork and great characterisation. Well done!

Very positive! Tough game, so do not let the relaxing music in the game lull you into a false sense of security. Very fun :)

Oh this is such an addictive game! Running a restaurant that you basically rebuilding from scratch, exploring dungeons to 'gather ingredients', visually appealing and lots of quests. Love it.
Buy the game now and watch those hours fade away...

That was excellent. A sublime puzzle game that throws you into a mysterious world with no explanation and lets you figure things out on your own. In these days of hint systems within games it is refreshing and challenging to have to work out what goes with what and how.
The game does not overstay its welcome at 8 hours this is perfect for a puzzle game. The achievements are not too easy to attain and you'll be scratching you head numerous times to how to get from point A to B.
At times you may think you may have gone the wrong way or taken a wrong turn that can't be reversed but the game won't let you do that. When you DO get something right you'll be treated to a lovely musical interlude which acts like a gentle motivator to keep on going.
Again, an excellent game which I can't recommend highly enough

Excellent new interpretation of this classic story. Some great puzzles littered throughout the game and the story is superb. Would love to see another story set in this same universe. Well done!

Don't judge a book by it's cover with this one. The story starts very quickly and before you know it you're into your first hidden object scene. There is no voice acting, which is a little jarring at first compared to HOG's these days but if you can read fast it's alright. Where this game is a hidden gem are the puzzles - varied and sometimes difficult (don't touch that skip button). The hidden objects scenes are good, albeit a little extra difficult due to the age of the game. The best ones are finding logical pairs which you don't see too often in HOG's. The story gets more interesting as the game goes along and ends fairly abruptly but the length is just about right. Achievements are attainable but just don't skip or use hints.
Overall, a little rough around the edges but ultimately enertaining

After the awesome 'First Cases' game, unfortunately this one falls quite short. There is a sense that things were rushed here - typos, bugs in the worst form of characters and objects disappearing from locations during conversations/interactions, and the level of 'holding your hand' through puzzles was a bit too much. This felt like Poirot for beginners and, aside from a couple of achievements, it was fairly simple to get the majority.
I am still giving this a thumbs up for the story and frankly any Poirot game will always rate highly but I wish for the next game to go back to what made the last one amazing and treat people who love a good detective game with actions that leads to other consequences, and yet maintain that theme that has been done so well.
The graphics are very shiny on full settings but again there was a scene at the cafe where clearly there is no furniture inside the store, merely a shell for people to interact outside of it - a bit sloppy.
And yet again I give this a thumbs up, probably more a sideways thumb if I could, because I love these games and the journey we are taken on. I look forward to the next installment
