Beautiful, and getting more so. Still not quite a typical game experience... more of a "being compelled to experience something for satisfying hours on end" experience.

Low key lo-fi aesthetic still succeeds in being charming. The child-like mouth made sound effects both grate and amuse.

Huge fan of JC2, so was worried that it couldn't live up to the standard set by that previous iteration. It has all that Just Cause 2 had, and more, but somehow does not quite have the joyous exuberance of JC2... But it's still a good time and absolutely worth your money/time.

Underappreciated, but well executed. World is incredibly varied despite the visual limitations of a wasteland aesthetic.

If you even remotely like massive open-world style of games, this one will satisfy the itch. Runs great, even on low spec machines!

Update, November 2017: Still fantastically underappreciated. Now that the game is routinely $5 or less at sales, there is almost no reason not to pick this up if you have ever enjoyed an open world game. I've even found myself returning to the comforts of this game, even after getting 100% of its achievements. Is it perfect? Of course not... but will it exceed your expectations? Most definitely. Your library is filled with steam sale duds... this will be a pleasant surprise steal!

November 2018 update: A year later, still am very happy that this game exists and routinely welcomes me back for a spell.

Just Cause 2 still effortlessly entertains me. The glorious freedom of movement and exploration is unrivaled in the sandbox genre. Panau feels larger and more varied than anything Skyrim could claim.

November 2018: Still great. JC3 is good update, but just doesn't quite capture the wondrousness of this iteration.
