Beautiful graphics and classic gameplay could have been the foundation for a great game but the gatcha and the grind doesn't respect your time.

One of the best 4X games on the market. The customization of each empire from species to civics allows for vastly different play styles and all your favorite sci-fi tropes. Also, the storytelling elements via exploration chains make every game feel unique and are a welcome addition to the 4X formula.

Easily the best survival game I have played in recent memory. The atmosphere and ambiance created by each biome is specular. Not to mention the sound design that creates an impending sense of doom as you go deeper. This is one of the few games that I actually had to make a long-term plan to accomplish a goal. For example, in order to reach the deepest biomes, I needed a mid-way base in which to recharge my batteries and make fresh water. So, I had to make sure I bought the needed supplies with me on the voyage down, so I could stop and build a new base on the way to max depth. Highly recommended, can’t wait for the artic DLC.

Fantastic Game and a must play if you're a fan of the Metrovannia style gameplay. The art and soundtrack are second to none in this genre. The gameplay feels familiar yet fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed the “dash” skill, that lets you reflect and boost jump off enemies and their projectiles. This creates some amazing challenging jumping puzzles, the most notable of which is the escape from the Ginso tree sequence, where you must escape a rising flood after restoring the element of water.

My only complaint is the combat is a bit lacking and the absence of boss battles that have long been a cornerstone of this genre.

9/10, cant wait for the sequel.

I loved this game. Great characters, great story, great universe. Definitely worth a few bucks come holiday sale.

This has to be one of the most mediorce games I have ever played. Terrible plot, nothing original and had it not been for The Worse mod borderline unplayable. Save your money.
