This game has gone way beyond what it initially was. The newest patch 2.3.2 adds a ton of gameplay features, and while some of the DLC does seem pointless it all adds it own unique flair for the game.

If you are looking for a grand strategy game where you can play pretty much any type of race with any combination of abilities, I highly recommend checking this game out.
