My Review has been positive for years. I love Ark but the reality is that anyone considering buying it now or in the next 6 months needs to know that the company is shutting down the game servers come August 2023.

You will be forced to buy a new game at £50. The conduct of Wildcard is reprehensible. It either comes from the dictats of their scumbag publisher Snail Games or Wildcard are complicit. I still struggle to believe that WC would really do this themselves and I believe it is most likely that Snail Games are just morally and ethically bankrupt.

DO NOT BUY and I'd be wary of any Pre-purchase offer of the Ark Ascended until it is released. WC have a long history of buggy releases and bugs that never get fixed or things that never retain support.

I feel really sad I have had to post this as I love this game and have 8,000+ hours in it.

This game can be rewarding, frustrating, rage inducing, amazing and fun all at the same time.

Many reviews are angry about the controversy over a paid dlc being released whilst the main game is still in early access. The reality is many people have sp[ent hundreds of hours playing this game they are now giving bad reviews too. Their issue though is with the developer's behaviour and not the core game.

Overall the game is fantastic but still needs optimisation and bug fixes and the dlc is equally good.
