Garbage clan and not refundable if you played the basegame more than 2hours. This I had no clue that it applyes to all DLCs... uääh.

On the surface it looks fun from screenshots. I remember I wanted to play it when it came but it bugged out each time. Now I played 25min and got a crash. But the problem is really that it´s extremly storydriven and not open for trying any of your own ideas. So if you are used to openworld games in a fantasy setting where you choose how to proceed this is not the game for you at all.

The gamedesigners really have choosen how to aproach the game and changes what is possible when they see fit. Like you learned first that you can use a kick to make the enemy tumble/fly backwards. But then when I wanted to do this when I was chased it was not possible at all. Also you can only get swords from fallen friendly soldiers when the game wants it to be possible. If you kick a allied soldier so he will loose the sword so you would be able to defend yourself against the "enemies that I will not spoil their looks or name of here" then it will be game over and you need to reload the map.

Skill tree: A limited skilltree which was more than I expected from it and it was quite nice.

Ropes/chains: Not good implemented and it can be a hassle because its not possible to swing back and forth to reach further so you really need to go quite high up and then you can do the jump needed otherwise you would just fall to your death.

Music: Quite fitting and something that just does what it should do.

Combat: 1 regular attack and then a heavy thrust that was quite cool. Also that you can kick enemies over an edge or into a spiked wall.

I would suggest you instead play these games from the same era instead: Rune 2,Gothic 2,Enclave,Oblivion,Elderscrolls:morrowwind.

If you want a good similar experience that is not an openworld game from the same era then I must suggest this:

I thought it was a game about exploring underground caves as a diver. A game that I truly liked on the C64 computer system. Anyway even if it was not what I expected I think I would have still be dissapointed.

I almost could not recommend this game because the gamma is extremly light and demanding for the eyes. The trailer does not based on gameplay on the released version of the game it seems. The only way to change it is to go in to your NVIDIA or RADEON controlpanel and change the light the gamma for your complete computer system. Just remember to adjust it back to normal after playing. I dont know why the devs have just ignored this because there are tons of forum posts about it.

+ very original graphicsstyle, personally I love it
+Soundtrack is quite 1960-70s style
-No save function and you don’t know when it saves or when you get a checkpoint

Extremly scripted
The story is extremely point A to B and there seems no way you can change the how the story unfolds and play better. Then this is not for you. Personally I mostly hate scripted games like this because it feels more like a film where you jump in and play the story. This is how I feel about almost all storydriven games except Detroit become human, Heavy rain, Until dawn where you actually have some level of possibility to change the outcome even if its heavily storybased.

It´s very cute and gives but also give you an overall feel of sadness about the cruelty of mother nature. I do not enjoy feeling like that and not be possible to change anything so this is really not my cup of tea at all. But I do love another game by this team namely “Meadows”.

I just wished it was set in the big world of “Meadows” that they created and that it was filled with ai animals so you can have a cozy sandbox freeroam experience.

Bugs:
• Gamma bug: extremely bright
• A bug where you cant drop the food you have in your mouth


Other animal games I played and enjoy are
Meadows: mmo where you can not chat but only use animal emotes, I enjoyed that immensly since it does not destroy the game with people blabbering about stats and ♥♥♥♥ like in all other animal games.

The Isle: Im having trouble enjoying it because I suck at it and also Evrima does not work on my computer.Still I think this is how a Dinosaur simulator should be because there is no weird stats and stuff .

Beasts of Bermuda: An extremly arcady dinosaur game but which is quite fun because you can be flying dinosaurs. Problem with this game is that extremly few people play it as a dinosaur sim. Quite often you will find big bunches of both Herbavores and Carnivores just chilling out together and not really playing it as a dinosim...This really destroys all immersion. I do NOT recommend communityservers because of this. Go for the official if you want to have a strong dinosim feel. cool thing is that they have a Skilltree so you can really shape your dinosaur. And if you like the arcady stuff you can also choose neoncolours on your dinos. It´s also quite nifty that you can turn these skins of in the meny so it does not break immersion for you.

Wolfquest Anniversery edition: Graphics is very dated but the feel of being a wolf is completly there. Problem is that I´m so bad at hunting haha. This wolf simulation has been made in cooperation with wolf scientists. You can raise your own wolfpack...personally I hav enot even managed to take down 2 elks which is the first thing you should do to progress haha.

The czenosoic era: This is a new free to play animal mmo that I really believe in and they releases update quite often.

Animalia: I have seen tons of videos about it and it seems burdened by no official servers and heavy adminabusing and banning people for actually being an animal. namely killing and eating others if you are a carnivore. If you like lions its a game for you I guess because the lions are very overpowered from what Ive understood from most videos Ive seen and also lots of reviews...still I want to try it if would cost like 5euro.

+ Good sniping, possible to take out outposts similar to Far cry games
+ Open world that is not from a AAA franchise
+ Gritty atmoshpere and a faded colour over the whole game so if you enjoy Arma series and tjhe colour scheme in Bohemias titles you sure will like this.
+ Stealth gameplay works quite fine and I dont understand the negative reviews about the stealthsystem so far. Perhaps they patched it or people are just whiny as usual in the reviews and can not be trusted.

- No multiplayer co-op ( Like there is in in Far cry 4 or Tom clancys Ghost recon warlands)

If you allready played Tom Clancy Ghost recon warlands I recommend you this game if you want more of a similar style.
Also this has a more darker serious feel to it. Get it on a sale and you will not be dissapointed. I think it´s worth 10euro.

I´m a Arma fan and played all of them over the years including Arma reforged and thats my standpoint when it comes to military games. Sniper elite I haven´t played so much even though I do love the era and I guess it perhaps some similarities to that series.

Similar to: Hitman about the open objective to stealth ( not all missions), Sniper Elite about the seriousness of sniping.
I think you also would enjoy Enemy homefront if you enjoyed this open world. that game is a supernice ww2 Open level game.

I recommended if you have friends interested in playing it with you ( No ai so far in teamsbattle or Freeforall).

+ Fantastic idea with Macro instead of Micro
+ optimized gameplay and very streamlined
o Music & sound does the job with nothing special.

- Utterly dead in terms of playerbase and therefor a waste of money so get it at a steamsale if you and some friends want to experience a very fantastic new thinking RTS.

I think its similar inovative and fresh as Northgard and redefining the genré RTS .

-Release-
I was extremly excited about this game but it had a horrible release with only 1vs1 mode and also no chance of training against any sort of Ai to learn the game. And now when finally FFA 2vs2 and 3vs3 has been released due to demand from the community there does not seem to be any players at all online. So my hope be able to play this game is if they will release a bots to play against.

Play it. It´s a very interesting horror game. Don´t read reviews more than what I wrote and just experience the vermins.
I´t s the best surreal horror game I ever played.

Not much of a review but I feel so strong for this game even if it´s not for me since I can see I can se it for the diamond it is and I want more people to discover what I unfortunatly enjoy through gameplay.

If you enjoy "Elite Dangerous" and "No mans sky" this is 100% for you! It´s a much simpler game but not when it comes depth of what it offers to you as an explorer of unknown worlds.

I have only played 21minutes and understood it´s not for me. I have allways wanted to immerse myself into these games but I get bored as fudge to quick since my span for something to happen is very low.

This has not hindered me from watching several videos of it with people enjoying it much as some games are not for yourself to be played but to watch. So I recommend this video of Star explorers to get an insight of the wonders that it can give if you are more patient:

+ Good clunkyness when you walk around in your terminator suits.
+ Graphics looks fantastic
- Utterly tidious uninteresting combat.
It´s uses the same boring swarm mechanic that can be found in Vermintide 1-2 and probably the new Vermintide clone set in the 40k universe that came out Q4 in 2022 ( dont remember the name). So if you like those games you probably will love this.


You really feel that you are onboard one of the spacehulks (ships). Probkem is that it´s utterly boring hackslash feast and it´s not that it´s hard, just plain boring and uninteresting. At the end of the first level in the game I ragequitted out of boredom and that is really saying something I think.

Rather play "Space Beast Terror Fright"

that is a Swedish developed indiegame that is the embodient of what a true Space hulk game should be, it´s a 4player split screen or you can play it over the net in randomly generated missions and has tons of replayability and gives you that scary claustrophobic feel that a Space hulk game should give. That is if you ever played the boardgame or the AMiGA version of Spacehulk.

The absolute bottom list and should not be mentioned even except if you want to get te atmosphere from truly walk around in the game. If there was a mod where I could just walk around and check out the enviroment I would buy that as a DLC for this game if it only made possible that I could skip the combat totally.
