I absolutely love the game but thats also why I cannot recommend it in its current state.
The thing I love the most so far is the pacing, one round can be so quick, even if you reach the end stage.

But its not well balanced if I had to find a word for it. Sometimes the scaling is way to harsh with the sudden strength increase of the enemies. I had it not to rarely that I barely defeated the first boss, but the second stage utterly demolished me a few rounds in, because of RNG. I mean fair, RNG is part of it. I have not counted it up, but the 3rd wave after the first boss has already more HP and attack then the previous boss.

The Tokens you can get are nice, the Relics on the other hand - I probably have yet to find all, but most I could not find use when I was going with my build, The Synergies you can get are nice as well.

As you can get by my review I like the game. The RNG and the lack of variety is a bit disappointing.

So here I am hoping for some juicy patches and updates in the future, for now the game will be on hold for me.

Edit: Quick edit just after Posting. To me it felt like you only push one tower that has to carry everything, If that tower falls, you may have luck that he did enough damage so the other 9 can just barely kill the enemy, but its mostly just one Tower carrying.

I do enjoy playing the game, the mechanic is something I haven't experienced before but thats also about it.
It lacks variety in both fights and items. I still have to beat the boss with all characters but most runs feel similar with the path you will end up taking.

And the lack of options is why I cannot recommend it for now, it just feels to repetetive.
After a few patches I may update the review, but that depends on the content that follows.

Only played this game for 2 days.
BUT as you can see by my hours, I mean it.

The game has a cute voxel art, the gnorpse are addicted to shiny rocks, fully relatable.
Now go and grind that gameboulder to oblivion.

You only actively have to click for shards in the first few minutes of the game. The rest is waiting and upgrading.

Don't know why it got me hooked so hard, but this is the second best Clicker game I've played.


First 20 hours were exploring and prestiging, trying to actually get past compression 7.
20-23 were actually beating the game, up to 25 was farming the achievements and the rest was testing DPS/CPS stuff.

Now I write this review (basically hour 30 for the game) and then get some sleep ... kinda need it badly now.

Now I only hope for more updates and possibilities to combo in the game. Maybe even add mod support (haven't seen anything relating to mods so far).

Only ever played this game solo, simply because of the way I reach out for Co-Op an my preferences.
Its fun, but also can be very frustrating.

I have not tried everything out to clarify that up front.

Graphics, sound design and gameplay are all excellent, ok not the music, 1 shot fired and the music starts to blast out so loud, you won't hear any footstep around by **by default** is not a good design choice.

For when I played, I missed some attachments, for the side "scope" view, have not played with any weapon that either came with one, or one was attachable. Besides that the most frustrating thing was the AI. All of them, hostile, friendly and civilians.

Civilians:
To be fair, yea I do not live in a country where SWAT is aktiv, nor have I ever been in a situation where I encountered a special unit of my country, nor needed one __BUT WHO__ in their right mind would shout ♥♥♥♥ YOU, HOW ABOUT NO or pull the camera for Photos out, when you are basically a hostage and the SWAT IS BASICALLY ALREADY SHOVING THEIR SHOTGUN DOWN YOUR THROAT BECAUSE YOU WON'T LISTEN!
And then I get "unauthorized use of force" just because I hit them with my gun.

SWAT:
Kinda miss the option to let the AI use the battering ram, or I always overlooked it.
But summarized, blocking the way, on the command "open and clear" or "breach and clear" with flashbang, sometimes just throws the flashbang against the door and just ... never clear, nor opening the door.
Lets be sneaky beaky, till one of them shouts "Drop the weapon" to the guy behind the wall/door.


Or on the door "stack up", everyone at the door hostile opens the door, despite 4 KI SWAT members being *ready* at the door, he still gets too shoot and maybe even take 2 of ours out.

Or stand in the open, get shot in the side, by the guy 10 meters next to him, doesn't react and dies, neither did Delta, standing 3 meters next to him.

Hostiles:
Kinda depends on the situation - but in general they feel dumb. Their aim is great but not reacting to dead bodies, not grouping/communicating or shooting at the closed door I'm close by for 5 minutes ... because its closed (open doors they don't usually just spam 50 mags into it, at least on my runs, but rather swap positions or come through).

Do they even react to the lasers or the Flashlight btw? Never felt like it.


With all of the above, needs more polish for the pricetag before I recommend it. May still play it once in a while though.

More than positively suprised.
I highly suggest to play in a group of at least 3, form my own experience I played solo up to 6 players - all fun, but the difficultly scaling is way different.

If you play with friends, the game is messy amount of fun.
Quickly escaping from a monster, failing the jump and falling into the abyss, followed by the distant shout of your name by your comrade who is now doomed to die.

Deeply hope the game gets more updates in all aspects, moons, items to use, different loot, different threats.
OH and maybe different graphic settings.

Got it to play with a friend.
Randomly played the Beta for multiplayer and it took us less than minutes to laugh like maniacs.
The multiplayer is sadly a little bit too buggy as of now, but even then its hella fun.

In the singleplayer the experience is way smoother but a bit less funny.
In general you start out with a car, random of the type - maybe functional, maybe you have to fix it up first and then you start your randomly generated roadtrip - don't forget Beate, it will be a long drive.

The upgrades, vehicles and mistakes you find and can create are crazy and can easily end your drive.
I ended up in one run to add the most powerfull engine into a small car, 0-160+ in a few secs. Outspeed the rendering and hit a rock and died :).

I'm looking forward to what is coming and I deeply hope the devs won't remove the way the characters handles/looks.
The extender arm or the broken bones while crouching + scrolling + leaning etc. are just too good.

Update for the awards ;)
Still love the game though
