It's a fun gameplay loop, but the game feels unnecessarily punishing, as if it doesn't like you trying different strategies. It feels like it needs a balancing pass, and I would like to see something like unlocks that can ease the difficulty on subsequent runs, so it doesn't feel like you can only play the game one certain way.

A game of chance masking as a puzzle game. Might become something great in the future, but as it is, it's pure luck whether you get towers that have symbiotic effects or not.

I love the idea and I think the game can be great fun, but the balancing is bad.
The enemies scale exponentially, but most available winning conditions scale linear, so they just can't keep up (f.ex. Cat, Frog). Those that can keep up (Obsidian, Flower and Bear) are so strong, that they barely pose any challenge after the first boss.

Also infernal is a cool game mode, but the winning conditions are even worse. Mole is so badly hindered by its debuff on lvl 1 (has to tank one attack before it can retaliate), that then first boss is almost impossible without getting him lvl2 (3! 5 cost hits), the vampire and blood tower strategy is also incapale of surviving the first boss etc.

I would also like to add the lack for margin of error. Wrongly places turrets can immeadiatly ruin a run, resources to reposition or remove are scarce (although there are far more than the demo had), which makes the first rounds frustratring to play. Commiting to the wrong strategy, sometimes necessary to not die within the first rounds, can deny future winouts, as necessary space is blocked by useless towers. This is not as critical as my previous point, but is takes away flexibility and normalizes restarting the game to prevent a bad start.

Interactivity during later rounds is also limited. There is little point in leaving spaces open, from then on it is mostly rerolling and scaling up towers. Rearranging, deleting is rarely usefull in the middle to late game (which is usually when the options become available) as the boards, that would requier those tokens have already failed.

tl.dr. fun game idea, but balancing makes most strategies and many towers impossible to play, often leading to reliance on pure rng in the early. This also leads to middle and late game being boring as viable strategies scale too good (Bear, Obisidian, Flower, Honey). Interactivity is minimal during middle to late game, either strategies run by themselve or the strategy has already failed.
