I wholeheartedly commend this - no 3rd party launcher required any more!!!!!

I get that it makes business sense to include a launcher sometimes, but many ppl incl me will actively avoid any future game that comes with this kind of "quality of life improvements"!

For a indie game from a sole dev this is surprisingly polished (obviously it should not be compared with any AAA titles), and varied in terms of play style.

I just can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ believe how low Ubisoft can go. Multiplayer offline? I understand. Access to Singleplayer DLC players paid for denied???? Good luck in court Ubisoft

Only played the campaign and it's been a satisfying journey. Gameplay is varied and you have multiple play styles at your disposal to tackle a mission. Graphics feels up to par with today's standard. The story may appear generic or inconsistent at first glance, but there's more than meets the eye and once you get under the hood you would find a deep and satisfying plot. I would argue the writing is the most clever of all CoD entries to date.

Once you are familiar with the basic controls (in half a minute), you will find yourself in front of a timeless classic that has aged incredibly well. I've never thought this would still be such a blast for someone who is playing this for the first time in 2022. The sense of humor and exploration, the non-linear narratives and approach to gameplay, are just phenomenal. And it is short too, which is probably a plus for modern players who can no longer afford a huge amount of time into most other RPGs.

I have "played" for 11.5 hrs, of which 11 are working around constant crashing to no avail

Well, graphically the remaster of ME1 is worse than the MEUITM mod of the original... Not really worth it if you own the originals on PC

Great visuals and soundtrack really build up the atmosphere. The story is inspiring and does its best to keep you wanting more. What turned off a lot of players is the very low walking speed in the game, as if granting players the ability to run would ruin its reputation as a walking sim. You could remedy this using cheating software though. You could also fix the performance issue by setting framerate caps to off, so no points to lose there.
