I have "played" for 11.5 hrs, of which 11 are working around constant crashing to no avail

Hello zhuweiyu! I'm sorry to hear that you've been dealing with crashes the entire time you've played! Your frustration over this issue is absolutely valid. If you'd like to test out some troubleshooting to get these crashes resolved, I highly recommend verifying your game files[ubi.li], as this will work to repair any corrupted files for the game.

Running the game in compatibility mode[support.microsoft.com] as well as running through our basic troubleshooting guide[ubi.li] would be some good steps to take as well, since the game was made for previous versions of Windows and the basic steps will rule out any of the most common causes for crashing. If the game is still crashing after those steps, go ahead and grab a copy of your system files[ubi.li].
